Chapter 1
Paul saluted.
'Red Leader, sir. There's someone at the Maroon Cabin in camp.' Tord turned around to face him.
'And?'
'Sir. They are strangers.' Tord immediately stood to attention.
'How did they get in?'
'We have no way of knowing, sir. In fact, they resemble your old friends.'
'Kill them.'
'Do I have permission to speak freely, sir?' Paul asked. Tord frowned.
'Yes dad.'
'Look Tord, give them a second chance. In fact, the blue boy was the only one who hurt you.'
'For a good reason too.' Tord muttered, looking down.
'You know this is your fault.' Tord smashed his fist onto the table and growled. The he breathed in deeply and sat back in his chair.
'Send them in.' Paul smiled and nodded. Tord turned to look at the mirror that was hidden on the side of his office. Hidden because he couldn't bear to look at himself. Half his face was covered in scars. He was blind in one eye. And he had a robotic arm. He caught sight of a picture that hadn't quite disintegrated when he had burnt all the pictures of him and his old friends.
He bent down and picked it up. It was charred around the edges, but Tord recognised it at once. It was his favourite picture. Edd, Matt, and Tom was actually smiling in this one. Tord pinned it onto the wall next to his mirror.
