Simple Life

"Samantha! It's your mother, quick!" the maid quickly scurried out of the kitchen with her head bowed down. Samantha grinned knowing what she had done.

She wasn't Samantha's real mother she just married her father. Imagine a cinderella story but this cinderella never got forced to clean or cook. Instead this cinderella had been forced to be upper class and become the perfect little princess. And there wasn't two ugly step sisters there was one step brother who was so stuck up that he wouldn't even look in her direction.

Samantha stood in the kitchen with her chin in the air ready for the insults to be hurled at her. She disobeyed the rules and went outside the castle grounds in normal clothing and joined in the cities beach sports. Her mother marched into the kitchen. Scowling the entire time she perused closer to Samantha.

"Firstly, you still have not cleaned yourself up and dressed correctly after your antics. Secondly you went outside these grounds in them tacky clothes!" Her voice was starting to go higher and she gave a disgusted look to Samantha. With a quick spin on her heel, Samantha's mother left.

The maid came back in," oh Sammy, she looks furious, you're in big trouble now. "

" Sshhh, don't be stupid, what can she possibly do to scare me? Her face doesn't so nothing will."

Samantha went to her room and cleaned herself. She put on one of her mothers (real mothers) favourite dress and headed downstairs for dinner. When she got to the bottom of the stairs she seen suitcases and bags near the front doors. Excited to see the new guests Samantha ran to the dining room. They very rarely got new guests in the castle it was always relatives of her step mother.

There was 'the mother', the plain blank stuck up step brother and two men who were smartly dressed. One of them had silver, grey hair, Samantha couldn't see their faces as their backs were to her. But the other man had jet black hair that was gelled perfectly.

"Ahhh finally, Samantha, you're late as usual." She gave her mother a sarcastic smile and took a seat at the table. The men turned around and the older one frowned at her as he sat. The younger one with the black hair just sat down and kept his gaze at the plates in front of him.

"This is King Hans of Liechtenstein, and next to him is the King's son, Prince Elias." Her mother explained placing her hand graciously towards each of them as she announced. The Prince looked up and gave a slight smile to Sammy. She couldn't keep her gaze from his piercing green eyes. His slight smile formed perfectly on his tense jawline and his tan really did make his eyes stand out more. Prince Elias looked back down at the plate infront of him and soon Sammy was back looking at her mother while she rambled on about where they were from and then started her typical flirt with the King.

Through out the meal it was only the King and her mother speaking. Elias kept his gaze fixed on his food and didn't open his mouth to say a single word. Her step brother typically had his phone in his hand constantly and Sammy knew she was in trouble already so she didn't want to make a holy show of them infront of real royalty.

Just as dessert was being brought out Elias looked at his father quite worried then at Sammy. "So have you your own bags packed?" King Hans asked. Sammy confused looked at him and back to her mother frantically.

"You will be going to live with these two fine men. If I can't put manners on you King Hans definitely will." Her mother was now grinning that evil way she does whenever she has won. Sammy nearly choked on her soufflé and stood up immediately.

"I have a right as to where I live! And I'm not moving in with complete strangers!" with that Sammy stamped her way up the stairs and to her room. Her chest was heeving and she was furious to say the least. How dare she make decisions like that? Surely they can't force her. That's it I won't go, I'll lock myself in my room until they leave. She thought whilst rapidly locking her bedroom door and attempted to push the dresser infront of it but it was impossible as her dress was getting in the way.

Downstairs King Hans looked at the mother with an eyebrow raised. "I guess lesson number one will begin now." He stood from the table and headed up the stairs after Sammy.
