Chapter 1
Man I am tiered and I don't did not want to get up from my soft sheets. Sadly the sun light is not helping me. I slowly open my eyes and realize that is not my sealing. That’s strange mine more strait and white.
“Ahhem”. I turn my head to look at the person who call for me. He has shoulder length black hair, red eyes like the color of fire, tan skin, freckles cover his cheeks but he did not look childish, he is not wearing a shirt, red beads around his neck that held up his cowboy hat, and red cargo shorts with a knife hanging by his hip. Not bad looking either. I think it’s because he is muscular but not overly muscular. Wait why is their a guy in my romm...I don't think this is my room. Mystery in the chair shows a small friendly smile.
“Nice to see that you are finally awake. What your name?” I look around some more … All wood and there is a rocking motion. Am I on a ship? This is defiantly not in my house or bedroom. I look back at him.
“My name Luna…. Um first could you please tell me where I am and who are you?” He softly chuckls.
“My name Helios and you are on a ship by Uranus. “ I blink once and nod. I have no clue where I am or who that is. Oh shit this is not good. I run out of bed and nearly knock Helios out of his chair. I run into the bathroom and look into the mirror. I don’t look different but something off and I feel off to. I still have my silver hair but its straighter and just past my shoulders, my eyes are still green but look a bit darker. What happen to me? This can’t be happening. I have to breathe. I walk out of the bathroom and Helios looking at me like I’m a crazy person.
“Sorry for knocking you over. I just.. this is to weird.” He got up from his chair and yawns, not questioning the fact I almost knocked him over for no reason than to go to the bathroom. Then his stomach growls like he hasn’t eaten in days. It sounded like something is dying. I have never heard a person stomach sound like that… Ever.
“ Haha. Sorry and its fine. I am sure you really had to go. So let’s go grab some food and talk. I’m starving”! I am sure you are with the sound of your stomach growling like that. I nod but I look down realizing I am still wearing my Pj.
“Umm I can’t exactly go out in my PJ and since I have no clue how I got here. Can you grab me something? Anything will do.” He looks annoy but a blush crept across his face. I lift my hand to cover over my chest and turn my back to him.
“Fine, I will be back. Don’t go anywhere. I don’t want to go looking for you. The ship is complicated for newbies. Be right back”! I feel bad but I need cloths and I am right! This is a ship…Why am I on a ship? I remember going to bed then all this. I sat on my bed and felt something hit my thing. I pick it up and found my iPod. Yessss! No connection but I have my music and it works. This is great. I couldn’t help but smile.
“Here are some cloths. Hope they fit. What is that?” I look up and Helios is looking down at my iPod. It’s like he has never seen one before.
“Thank for the cloths. Let me get dress and I will show you.” He left and is nice enough to close the door behind him. I put on the black panties and bra. Fit perfectly and how did he know my size? Hmm…He better not have tried anything while I was pass out. The black skirt a bit short but fits comfy. I have a red t-shirt that has a nice V neck that showed off my chest just right. I look good. I had to wonder where he found these. Cloths just don’t show up from nowhere. I grabbed my iPod from the bed and slide it in my pocket. It’s the only thing I have from where I come from and I don’t want to lose it. I walk out the door to see a guy talking to Helios. They look my way and I smile up at them. Helios looks a bit red and looks away, talking under his breath like he annoyed. The guy holds out his hand and smile.
“My name Themis. Nice to meet you”. He has a firm hand shake. He is a bit taller than Helios, has blond hair in a small ponytail, he has a bit of stubble covering his chin, and looks just as lean as Helios. The way he stands made me feel like he is a very relaxed person, yet I bet he can be real scary when he wants to be.
“Luna. Nice to meet you too.” I chirp as they started to walk away so I decided to follow them so A! I don’t get lost and B! I don’t look dumb standing around. Helios looks back to make sure I am following but once he see me he turns back around. I didn’t think I look that…off. They lead me to a room and sitting in the chair was the biggest man I have ever seen in my life. I bet he like ten feet tall. He has a huge beard and scares covered his body. Wow was the only word that came to mind. I am speechless and scared that he may squish me... Easily too! I bight my lip as the big man looks down at me.
“So tell me brat. Who are you and why are you on my ship?” I have to remember to breath.
“My name is Luna Light and I’m not from here. I don’t even know how I got here… I remember going to bed last night then I woke up to Helios staring at me.” Helios walks forward and glares at me. I shrink back a bit. I bet if looks could turn people to fire he would be the one who would do it.
“I was not staring at you. I was waiting for you to wake up. I put you in the bed because I caught you levitating downwards from the sky". If I did not then you would have fallen in the water"! I was so confuse. I scratch my head trying to wrap myself around this new information.
“Sorry Helios for the last comment. It’s just hard to believe I fell from the sky”. I assume big man in the chair is Uranus because that the ship name. He scratches his huge beard in thought.
“So tell me where is your family?” Then it hit me. I have no family here. I don’t have anyone I can talk to, and I never saw my mom come back from her work trip. No brothers or friend. I’m here all alone in a world that I don’t belong in. I feel my tears slowly trickle down my cheeks. My chest tighten as the word alone repeats in my head like a broken record. I’m all alone.
“Hey don’t cry. It's going be ok. We will help find your family.” Then the water works happen. I look ridiculous but I don’t care. I wipe them away but they keep coming. Helios and Themis both watch me as I wipe my eyes.
“I have no family. You can’t find them because I’m not from here. I have no one. I come from a different time... I think. You can say something like the future or the pass… I don’t know and I have no clue how I got here. I am just alone.” I hic up through the whole thing. They all look confuse but no one says a word. Probably to scared that I would cry even wors if that even posible.
“So why not become my daughter. We can be your family.” I look through my blurry eyes up at him.
“Why? You don’t know me and I will just get in the way of everyone. I don’t know anything about ships. I will only hold you back”! I watch as the big man smiles softly down at me.
“Everyone needs a family and you can learn all those things. So will you become my daughter”? I node not being able to say anything and I don’t know why but it feels right. I guess I just didn’t want to be butted off the ship or I really did want to stay. I guess time will tell.
“Helios she is your responsibility. You train her and teach her the ropes. You got that brat?” I turn to Helios to see him frown as he walked closer to the big guy.
“Why me? Why do I have to watch some crybaby pop? I have better things to do!” My stomach turns as I look down at my fingers. I guess I am just some burden. Maybe I should deny his offer. I mean if Helios doesn’t want me then most of the crew won’t want me either.
“I don’t want to be a burden to anyone. I’m sorry I caused you any trouble. You can just drop me off at the next island.” Uranus looks furious as he turn to I guess his son.
“That’s enough Helios! You will help her settle in and that’s an order!” Helios just sighs and nods. His stomach let out another growl and I couldn’t help but laugh. I mean his stomach just broke the tense atmosphere. I stop as mine follows right after his. Helios and Themis burst out laughing and I couldn’t help but join them. My pain in my chest disappears and my new dad snickers. We say our good bye and now I’m part of Uranus crew. I wonder how everything will turn out and can I ever go home?
