Prologue
The day Zach’s life changed was the day he received a call in the middle of the night and being called to the hospital immediately. When he did, he received the news that he was the father to a newborn baby girl. At that moment Zach’s whole world turned on its head. When the nurse put the baby in his arms, she was as red as a rose. She was crying loudly when she was brought to Zach. He caressed her cheek and started cradling her in his arms. She stopped crying and started curiously at Zach. He was so captivated by her big blue eyes, he fell in love with her. He knew he would do anything in his power to keep her happy. In the blink of an eye, his life changed so much he didn’t realize how much he changed. He had to cope with raising his daughter and the disappearance of his wife.
At first, he had difficulties adjusting to everything. It took some time, but many sleepless nights later he settled in his own rhythm with his daughter. He couldn’t believe that he was blessed enough to have her in his life. She’s the light to his darkness and made everything better. For her, Zach didn’t mind changing himself completely.
As the years passed, she grew up too. Seeing her first step. Hearing her first word were things he lived for. Everything of him revolved around her. But there was one thing that kept twirling in the back of his head. Who is her mother? Why did she do it? What if she decides to come back? What will he say when Rose ask questions about her?
Life had it’s own way to set everything in place. Just like the issues resolved between Zach and his ex-wife, Sky, this too would come to light at the right moment.
