I can't help but wonder,
When the first blood was shed,
When the first life was taken,
How the last peace was broken,
How I was pulled in,
Was I always a part of it?
Was it simply meant to be?
Why did it end up with me?
Why did violence come unbidden?
What makes me the epicentre?
What makes me so hated?
Who did I offend for this to happen?
Who wanted me so beat down?
Where did I lose this battle?
Where in my life,
Was I so unhappy,
That I hated myself so much,
That I started a battle,
Against my own life?
