Chapter 1
“Parker, Eva, I got a mission” I heard Bruce shout for me and Eva from the planning room.
I pause my game and exit my room. Eva comes out of her room and we exchange a confused look. “Mission?” she asks me.
“I guess so”. I reply
“I thought we weren’t supposed to be active until the government okays us?”
Eva shrugs and we walk upstairs into the planning room. We see bruce sitting at his computer, he does not look scared or angry so how could we have a mission? “Close the door behind you” Bruce instructs.
I turn around and close the door, after I take a seat next to Eva in front of his desk. These chairs have never been comfortable, I haven’t sat in them since the incident. Bruce starts off the meeting with “New Mexico and Las Angeles”.
“What about it?” I ask.
“New members of the team, they are an asset we need them. Parker you will go down to New Mexico and recruit these two and Eva you will go to the amazon”
“Amazon?” Eva asks
“yes that’s where your recruit is located at the moment” Bruce tells Eva
Bruce slides me two pictures, one of a girl and the other of a guy. The pictures of them are mug shots, they look roughly the same age, 22 maybe 23. The guy had longer wavy black hair, he had a smirk in his mug shot and a scar under his eye on his cheek. The girl had straight red hair and freckles, she had the same scar as the guy did.
I was examining them both until Eva interrupted and said “Umm Bruce, this is Mia Grey”.
“Who?” I ask.
“The supermodel/Actress”.
“That’s right, the government and I think she is a perfect fit for the team, same with these two.”
We both nod and leave the room, but before we get out Bruce says “No suits, no powers, be undetected”.
“Yessir” we both reply.
