Chapter 1

The morning was quiet in the small seaside hotel. Where most everyone inside was still sound asleep, besides the business's owner.

She sat at the farthest table away from the front of the building where no one would disturb her peace with nonsense about toilet paper or the day's menu. She could sit there with her pink coffee mug in hand and large faded sweater until the sun rose high above the seas horizon.

The blonde locks a top her head pulled into a loose bun shone in the morning suns bright orange and yellow light, reflecting into her deep chocolate brown irises making them shimmer gold. Her gaze follows out to the clear ocean before her, waves lightly splashing the calm beaches shore.

It was so peaceful here in the mornings where the rush of people on summer vacation was thin and the constant work of running a very popular business was at bay. She almost wished for the summer to end so she could enjoy her mornings without the worry of afternoon work to begin. Although she wished for summer to end she didn't wish for her loved ones to leave for home when the winter season rolled in. She loved her friends and coworkers here so much that she never wanted to see them leave her alone by the seas shores.

The blonde's small hand grasps the worn soft white scarf wrapped around her neck and shoulders as if on impulse. She new very well that it's owner would come in search of the beloved scarf sooner or later.

As if almost on cue her ears pick up the small creek in the floorboards as someone approaches her from behind. A smile plays on her lips as large hands cover her eyes in a playful manner.

"Guess who?" A mans soft gravely voice says jokingly in her ear. She giggles to herself knowing just how much this person hates getting up early in the mornings, as the tiredness was evident in his voice.

"Natsu, I know it's you." She says knowingly as the hands disappear from her eyes. The tall man steps out from behind her and takes the seat across the table. He smiles at her although his eyes look sleepy and his pink locks on top of his head are a mess.

"Man there's no fooling you is there Luce." He jokes as his smile brightens even more as the corners of his mouth extend to his ears, showing off his canines.

"Nope, I know everything." She teases in response giggling as he leans across the table to plant a warm kiss on her forehead.

"Can I have my scarf back scarf thief?"

"Good morning to you too Natsu."
