Chapter 1

Bright beaming eyes stared at the bushel of berries, under a heavy head of white hair, impressive muscles coiled under his compact, olive toned body. Young interested eyes, looked to his Mother for confirmation that he could grab some and more importantly if it was safe. The mother with caring, knowing eyes ushered him forward. After grabbing a few, excitement bloomed as he grabbed as much as he could hold, as bold as the setting sun. But all the same still stared to rope a few. His mother made a noise, like the angry sky on a cold night. He knew that he had done something wrong, and saw the berries as he looked down, walking to the waiting pelt and gingery put down the berries on the dried skin. Scared that he might get reprimanded for the foolish act, he threw his gaze down feeling the fear water almost trickle from his eyes. Except this time he was scared that his mother wouldn’t let him help her anymore. With arms that were strong as the trees, closed around him and a warm relief flooding him as his mother gave him a strong tender embrace, he them made a promise that he would take care of his mother until the bright sky of light stopped and to his knowledge it never stopped.

A yell woke the sleeping white haired giant, rugged from all his years of self-hatred. The first thought he had was violence to the shopkeeper who screamed at hm, he looked at the shopkeeper with a fiery hatred. At once the shopkeeper realized that he was an extreme danger, being so close to a possible magic wielder, or maybe an empowered knight, But then looked at his attire and scoffed at his fear, “No one with self dignity, would look so disgusting.” But a thought struck him, as the man stood up dwarfing the shopkeeper by more than double. With any muscle he could see rippling with unused power, newfear coursed through him as his thought rung behind his small beady eyes. “Is this a barbarian?” he quivered at this thought. Then the shopkeeper abruptly turned and ran. Back into his small shop knowing that no average man can be as tall as a horse on hind legs and twice as broad. WIth an exasperated sigh Gregoravish, “grinch” turned and walked down the street seeing guards glance at him then taking double takes. Bleary eye he trudge along. His demeanor putting the whole town square on edge, stained it like as though he was on a knife’s edge. A powerful being could wipe small towns like this off the map with ease. As his walk become graceful, in a weird way, grinch turned to the sound of a high pitched yelling at a man. A beautiful woman with brunette hair stood on head taller than the two men guard captain she was screaming at. The captains face betrayed his true feelings, it was beet red, anger just barely out of his voice talking to this woman and the giant decided he would listen in to the conversation. “There is no schollars here!” the captain below “just ruffians and low lifes!”

“Well, the king’s specialist said he was here!” the woman said with an unladylike tower. Grinch then instantly stopped caring about this screaming match, and layed back down on the floor right where he stood. he decided to sleep under his tattered cloak which covered his whole body.

A powerful man started at his blue eyes as he shielded his aged mother from his gaze, quivering under the power of the gaze, but not moving from where he stood. Gregoravich said, “we will not stop you from taking anything you want. Please just don’t hurt us.”

Instantly the man behind the gaze said, “you may ask anything of me, your bravery impresses me.”

Anything?” the big and never felt more relief and fear at these words.

“Yes,” the gazing man pointed at the giant, “Except it has to be about you.”

But the giants words were already on their way out, “Without the fear of death.”

The man then smiled grimly and said, “if it is your wish,” the man had a lingering smirk as he asked, “Do you know who i am child?”

The confusion cleared as the boy realize. “Are you the creator?” with a smile and a no the man disappeared,. With a realization he felt no more aches or pains, then hollowed in joy and triumph he turned to the elderly women, his loving mother, and laughed in joy, “we will be happy and, maybe, not scared.”
