Chapter 1
Alison's POV
I have just gotten out of the airport & now I was waiting for my father to come to pick me up. His name is Bradley. He & I haven't had the best father-daughter relationship because he sends me away for a whole year to live with my grandparents. Why? Because of my step mom. She doesn't like me in case you didn't notice. I left halfway through freshman year. I was so different in looks in freshman year. How you may ask? Well for starters I lost a lot of weight it not like I minded my weight before because I loved how I looked then. I just woke up one day & decided that I want to change so that's what I did. So now I'm thinner. Secondly, I changed how I dressed which again I choose to do that one day too. Before I would just wear hoodies that were very large & jeans. Plus my hair was always in a ponytail. Again it was my choice to do all that.
But enough of how I looked & dressed before. I wasn't scared or nervous about coming back to my childhood home what did scare me was seeing how people would react to seeing me be back after so long. So after waiting for so long & getting lost in thought Bradley finally came to get me. Let me tell you that the ride was very awkward into he broke the silence by telling me that I was going straight to school & that I had to stay into my brother Fred's football practice was done. I really wasn't prepared to go to school at this moment. I didn't want to see all those people. Plus my brother Fred was gonna be surprised to see me since he didn't know I was coming back. No one knew I was coming back.

We finally made it to the front of the gates of Irvine high school.
"I want you to behave, Alison," Bradley said in which I just nodded
" I'm serious Alison I will send you back with your grandparents if you don't behave" Bradley added
"Why don't you just send me back then since it seems that you don't want me here"
"It's not what I mean Ali I just don't want you to misbehaved here," he said
" It is Alison to you, Bradley, you lost the privilege of calling me Ali the moment you send me away. But I have to go I'm gonna be later then what I'm already am"
With that, I shut the door & walked into the main office. In case you do not remember I was here for half the semester of freshman year so that how I know where the main office is at. I walked in & the front desk lady was there
" Hello how may I help you," she said
"My names Alison Joseph & I'm transferring back here"
"Oh yes I have your schedule right here, but I recommend that you stay here for about ten minutes because the first period is about to end, she said with a friendly smile
"Sure thank you," I said & smiled back at her
"Your welcome & you can take a seat for now," she told me in which I nodded & sat down before I took my class schedule.

After about ten minutes I got up & left to go to my second period which was AP English. It took me about 5 mins to find my classroom. But it took me another 5 mins to mentally prepare myself to go inside. After those very short 5 mins, I finally decide to go inside & let me tell you I should have stayed outside because once I walked inside that classroom everyone & I mean everyone stared at me.
