Galaxy wolf: the blood moon.

The sound of my rapid heavy breaths fills the air as I try to calm myself, my shaking hands gripping my hair damp with cold sweat as I slowly calm myself from waking to another nightmare, the hellish memories that torment me.

It has been six years since that fateful night, the night that changed everything.

I had never believed in stories of men that turn into beasts not of creatures that live in the shadows not until that night, the night they came slaughtering my family the night I watched as their bodies grew still their cries turn to silence and the life in their eyes fade away.

Slowly I opened my eyes wiping the the last of my tears away I decided to get up, today was my eighteenth birthday, the day I leave my foster family the day I am free.

Forcing myself up and into my on suite, after showering and getting dressed into black ripped skinny jeans and a burgundy chiffon vest I decided a little concealer was needed to cover the bags under my eyes.

Leaving my hair wet as to not wake my foster family I made my way to the kitchen to make breakfast, once the pancakes where done everyone was waking up and making their way down the stairs.

“Ugh why do I have to see your disgusting face first thing in the morning, well I guess I can relax after today since you won’t be here any more” my foster brother Jason sneered, his chocolate brown hair spiked up with gel his hazel eyes glaring as his muscular arms bulged. Most people where intimidated by him his bad temper and five foot eleven body that was built like a tank would probably intimidate most normal people, but I wasn’t normal. No, I was a wolf.

Taking a deep breath to ease my anger and frustration I let out a sigh with that I escaped back to my room, taking my brush and running it through my long silver hair until I hung in loose waves down to my navel. After pulling on my black ankle boots and leather jacket I was ready to leave. Collecting my last bag I was off.

Today was my first day in college all of my stuff had been sent ahead to my dorm room so I had very little to take with me, mind you I had very little to begin with.

Getting tossed from one foster family to the next was easier with less stuff especially when I would only be in one place for no more than a couple of months. ‘Unwanted’ I thought to myself my wolf Star was quick to nag me from that thought ‘we are not unwanted! We just haven’t made it to where we need to be yet’

The college was on the outskirts of the town a vast woods at the end of the field behind the buildings ‘perfect for an evening run don’t you think?’ Star pointed out ‘hmm’ was all the response I needed to give.

I made my way to my room to unpack, the halls where filled with other students and boxes as all the new comers moved in. Finding my room I was surprised but not in the least dissatisfied to find I had a decent sized single, dropping my duffel bag onto my bed I let out a breath ‘this is our new home for a while’ a small smile crept onto my face.

The dorms are unisex no opposite sex shared any one room but it also meant that each room had its own bathroom and kitchen area. After spending about twenty minutes unpacking I felt like I should go and collect all of my paperwork and schedule ‘maybe we can have a look around the campus too? Make notes of all exits and hiding spots incase we run into any issues’ I thought to Star ‘good idea, while you are at it see if you can make a friend so you don’t have to talk to me all the time?’ Rolling my eyes at my wolf I left the dorm and headed for the office.

I closed my eyes filling my lungs with the intoxicating smell as I stepped through the doors leading outside. Before I could fully make it out I crashed nose first into a solid chest, the force knocked me off balance and send me falling back in through the door I had just stepped through “woah there princess” a deep and overwhelmingly seductive voice said with a slight laugh.

I felt an arm around my waist sending a warm tingling sensation through my entire body, opening my eyes I realised that who ever I had just collided with caught me “ah I’m so sorry, thank you” I managed to get out in a quick breath as I straightened myself out.

As I looked up I made eye contact with the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen, like green jewels. His black hair a little rugged and a soft stubble framing his strong jaw. My body began to heat up as a tingling sensation burned at my core, one filled with need and desire ‘no way am I getting turned on by a stranger right now’ I was shocked at my body’s reaction causing me to cast my eyes down slowly towards my feet.

As my eyes slowly made their way down to the floor I couldn’t help but notice this stupidity sexy man felt the same way his bulge pressing so hard against his jeans they looked about ready to burst open, the sight and how I was feeling caused me to bite onto my bottom lip as a low growl escaped my throat. At that the man grabbed my wrist and started pulling me out of the building and into the woods.

‘Star what should we do? I want to pull away but I don’t! What is happening?’ Usually my wolf was cool calm and collected it right now she was bouncing all about ‘we found our mate Vi, we found our mate!’ With that one statement from her I gave into my desire and followed without a fuss.

Hunter:

Another summer of watching my pack members and friends find their mates was torture, six years had passed since I turned sixteen six years with no mate in sight. As the Alpha I should have found her before taking over the pack. knock knock “Hunter” my best friend stood in the doorway to my room “it’s time to get going”.

Kaydons curly blonde hair and ice blue eyes only enhanced his tan and strong features, his muscles prominent yet not as prominent as my own balanced his six foot hight. As he stood in my door way lingering just a little too long I let out a huff.

Grabbing my jacket and keys I headed out, my mood souring seeing my beta Kaydon and his mate Emily waiting for me with my Gamma Logan and his mate Shanon.

My best friends and the people I trusted most, we had all grown up together but being around them after they found their mates their other half while I was missing my own hurt. I knew I shouldn’t let my feelings get in the way of my friendships but it was hard feeling like a part of me was missing.

The drive to the college that sat just on the border of my territory was exhausting, Emily was squealing with Shanon about girl stuff in the back while poor Logan was stuck between them looking fed up.

Kaydon had been quiet on the drive and knowing him as well as I do I knew there was something he wanted to say “what do you want to say Kay?” My voice causing the girls in the back to stop what they had been doing and sit back quietly. Keeping my eyes on the road was hard when I knew that whatever they wanted to say was going to be something I didn’t like.

“Hunter, you know you’re my best friend and I want to see you find your mate and be happy but...” he trailed off he didn’t need to finish what he was going to say I already knew. My Father had been on at me to pick a mate and Luna for the pack for the last year and a half, I had strongly turned the idea down each time but now that my friends where thinking it maybe he was right.

With that thought my wolf broke out in a rage ‘I will not have some want to be mate by my side Hunter! If you even dare even sniff another that is not our mate I will leave you, the pain of being with someone that is not her might as well be a death sentence!’ Letting out a long exasperated sigh at the situation I chose to push it aside until I got home.

We only needed to swing by the office and pick up our new schedule for the remaining year, this was mine and Kaydons last year before we would be free to completely focus on the pack. We parked up just outside of the building, as we stepped out of the car I was hit with a faint smell of vanilla and chocolate with a slight hint of rain ‘what is that delicious smell?’ I questioned my wolf but rather than answer me he was in a state I had never seen of him before.

Dismissing my wolfs odd behaviour I started making my way to the office, as I got closer the smell got stronger drawing me in. Taking deeper breaths to try and figure out what it was and cautiously looking around to see where it was coming from distracted me until I walked right into something “woah there princess” I managed to get out a slight laugh escaping me as I caught a girl, she must have been new to place as I had never seen her before. Her silly silver hair hung in loose waves complimenting her slightly tanned skin.

‘Ah I’m so sorry, thank you’ breathlessly rushed out of her mouth as she stood back up, she opened her eyes and looked up to me meeting my gaze. My eyes locked onto her purple ones, they had a slight hue of a deep blue in places almost like a starless galaxy, to say I was captivated was an understatement.

My mind was blank as the small tingles ran up my arm sending a warmth through my Body I had never felt before, as if it had a mind of it’s own my body reacted. I felt my cock begin to twitch and realised that this girl was turning me on. Taking a steady breath to try and calm myself I was caught off guard when the smell of her arousal fludded my senses. She lowered her head towards the ground slowly.

As she let out a low growl biting her lip her arousal got stronger no doubt seeing how hard my man good was as it pressed hard against my jeans ‘shit’ is all I thought as I felt my wolf stir ‘mate. We need to mark her! Take her away before any unmated males come’ my wolf was frantic with happiness possessiveness and love.

With that I grabbed her wrist and pulled her from the building and towards the woods, she seemed to pull against me slightly for a little while put soon stopped fighting and silently followed behind. I have to get her away from there and make her mine, we rushed just into the wooded area before I pushed her back up against a tree.
