Prologue
Our childhood is our safe zone before we enter our teen years to our adulthood. When we’re kids, we are told to express and use our imagination to create something new. All kids have a different way of expressing their imagination; some use it to play house with their baby dolls and friends, while others pretend they are the leader of the race track and ahead by 5 laps. There are also the ones, like myself, who play with their friends and family and pretend to have magic or superpowers. Like there was a group of soldiers after you because they wanted your magic and you refused to give it up because you could use it to keep everyone safe, especially your family.
Though as we grow older, we slowly stop playing pretend and find different things to deal with instead. We get best friends and find boyfriends or girlfriends and become a curious teen wanting to try out adult things. We all wish to become an adult so we can get out of our parents house and live our own life because we don’t wish to live by their rules anymore. All we wanna do is party all night and sleep all day, live in our own place and live our life exactly the way we want it. When the adults in their 30's tell us to enjoy our life, we all just brush them off and tell them there’s no point if we’re going to be grounded for 4 months out of the year.
We soon forget our past and focus more on disobeying our parents. Most teens would do so but others were “goodie-two-shoes” and didn’t dare step out of the house without asking mom and dad for permission. Our lives change so much in such a little amount of time, we quickly decide to toss out those toys we used to play with when our friends were around. Those sentimental toys might even disappear too. Only the true inner kids keep those if they’re smart. But our imaginary friends disappear with everything else in our childhood minds.
The moment those pals leave, some more older and mature stuff starts to enter our minds. We all become interested with the opposite or same gender and begin to imagine our life with another living breathing person. (Or at least some people do). Teens begin to play more sports or video games while others will go shopping more and buy loads of clothes and make up. Each fashionista in your class tries to be the next “Top Model”. Soon groups start forming and the only person you have left is your best friend from kindergarten, along with your mother telling you “you’re beautiful” when you look like a truck hit you first thing in the morning. Yeah, it’s not like those are the moments you don’t want to forget, because honestly, I do.
Though when I was younger, I used to dance around the room with my imaginary friends and pretend that I had powers. I did this in any game I played with my friends or cousins. Obviously this was something most kids did when they were young, am I right? I mean we all have active imaginations when we’re young, so of course we are going to use it to its full ability. I know I did; I danced around my room listening to music by myself as I acted like I was one of the most powerful people in the world. Though, as much as we all wish our childhood imaginations could come true; it never really does; does it? I mean, none of us are really that powerful with loads of magic running through their bloodstream, right? Well, at least that’s what I thought until I woke up on my 18th birthday.

Magnificent prologue. Had me really entered into my childhood and teen hood memories and I loved it. I really enjoyed this prologue and I can't wait for the next chapter to be posted
