Epilogue
Blood;
The
eternal liquid that fuels carbon based life. One of the most essential mechanisms the body uses, driven by the heart of the being, blood is used to transport oxygen and other needed chemicals to the rest of the body. But to the people of Keizer, it was more than that. To them blood was a sign of not only class, but usefulness. Bestowed upon the royal family was a drop of the blood of the gods. When passed down from parent to child it unleashed a hidden ability within them. the power to imbue the eternal blood that coursed through their veins into a single weapon; a Divine-weapon. Making its blade sharper than any blacksmith could dream of creating. The family closed their doors to the outside, choosing to keep the blood for themselves. Until Mats göttlich, the third son of the bloodline left the palace and disappeared into the commonwealth. Giving the average Joe a chance of gaining the Divine-Blood, it was soon discovered that consuming the heart of a being with the Divine-Blood would imbed the blood within the consumer. Groups of people began hunting down those whose families had been given the Divine-Blood by Mats. They would consume the hearts of those they had killed, building up more and more of the Gods nectar inside of them. But before long, they started to change. Their skin melted away leaving a muscled armor to protect their organs. Talons imbued with the Divine-Blood shot from their fingertips. And their faces turned into eyeless mouths with teeth strong enough to snap metal. Their strength and speed were increased by tenfold, becoming more beast than man. the people of Keizer named these beasts bloodLetters. After losing their sanity the bloodletters went mad and destroyed the town, this left the Göttlich family in a tough position. The very thing that brought power to their name was ravaging the land in which they ruled, this led them to open a task force comprised of Göttlich blood. a group of the family’s strongest equipped with divine weapons.
