One Kiss....

Have you ever fallen in love? Have you ever thought you were meant to be with someone?Have you ever perhaps fell in love with your best friend? Summer 2018 I found the love of my life. Hi I’m Odessa, and I fell in love with my best friend, Steven Ford.... we have known each other our whole lives, best friends our whole lives. My mom knows his dad and his grandparents, growning up I was over at his grandparents with my mom all the time, I was also the best of friends with his cousin Delaney. We all grew up together but after his bitch of a mom made him move schools I didn’t see him for 4 years. 4 whole years with out one of her best friends it was torture for for me I thought about him all the time he was my best friend my whole life and I thought I lost him for ever...

Then summer 2018 I went over to his grandparents to hang out with Delaney, something very unexpected happened, he was there too. The first thing I wanted to do is give him a big hug and tell him how much I missed him it was so hard not to, but all I did was stand there wide eyed looking at him I didn’t know what else to do. He went from 4’11 to 5’9, his voice went from squeaky like a mouse to deeper than I could imagine, and from skinny and weak to strong and hot. I couldn’t believe that was him he had a major glow up and I realized at that moment I was just staring at him and I felt awkward. I wondered was this still my best friend? The guy I have known my whole life? I was so scared to say anything. I thought he had changed, but he was just as nice and funny as before. I was so excited for that night. Soon enough thare grandma called us in for dinner we had hot dogs and French fries for dinner that night. Him and I were sitting across from each other kicking each other’s feet. After we dinner we sat around a fire Steven made. Me next to Steven and Delaney next to Me. Steven and I had a lot of catching up to do. I just sat thare staring for a few minutes not knowing what to say till I realized I was staring again my face started to get red and I felt awkward again, but he just laughed and asked “by the way are you single?” I freaked out for a second then said “yes!” At that moment I thought I was catching feelings for him. We continued to talk and catch up on things, but after a while we got bored and took a walk around the field, as Steven and I were walking and talking about school and other stuff, Delaney screams let’s play truth or dare! He rolls his eyes and says “ok, fineee.” Delaney stars by looking at me and laughing then it finally comes out of her mouth “Odessa, truth or dare?” I thought for a few seconds then blurted out “truth” I could tell by the look on Delaney’s face she had a good truth in her little brain that was gonna be embarrassing, she finally says “who’s your crush?” With our thinking I blurt out “Steven” then close my eyes. I was tarrified about what he was gonna say to me or how his face looked at that moment. A few seconds went on I finally opened my eyes and he smiled at me. I smiled back, it was now my turn I dared Delaney to run to the other side of the field and back just so I could talk to Steven for a minute alone. Well she was gone Steven got close to me and hugged me. It wasn’t at all just a friendly hug, it felt like he liked me still I had really strong vibes that he did anyway. I asked him well smiling and laughing “what was that for?” He just looked at me for a few then he laughs and says well smiling “I missed you silly! And I always kinda had a thing for you.” I just looked into his bright blue eyes our lips slowly getting closer and closer. We were about to kiss then we heard Delaney she was caughing and panting. She looked like she had ran 5 miles in all reality she hadn’t even ran a full mile, but It was back to Delaney. She thinks For a sec then asks Steven “truth or dare?” He says back after thinking for a few seconds “umm dare” she laughs and says “you and Odessa, kiss.” He just had a big smile on his face turned and before I knew it I was staring into his bright hypnotizing eyes our lips were about a center away from each other and thats when the moment got ruined again, his grandma yelled at us to come inside because it was getting late. As we run up to the front door of that old memory filled trailer, Steven's hand brushes agenst mine. I start to think about how much I wanted him to kiss me. Then something else ran through my mind was I in love with my best friend?

His grandma said we could have the living room to our selfs for the nigh. Delaney, Steven, and I we’re sitting on the couch, I realized Steven and I were really close to each other and that tingling feeling was back. I didn’t realize I was staring into Steven’s bright blue eyes again and after a few seconds he was staring back at me. I also didn’t notice we had moved even closer to each other. At this point I was leaning on his shoulder and he had his arm around me. Suddenly Delaney looked away from the TV and said“soooooooo” in a really high voice well rolling her eyes. I looked over at Steven and it was like everything was in slow motion and that tingling feeling was back again. He looked back at me and we were both leaning in to kiss each other. When our lips finally touched I felt a shock of some sort, like he wanted me and I wanted him. When we finally pull away Delaney was sitting there with a shocked look on her face. After that kiss that tingling feeling wouldn’t go away, at this point I knew I didn’t just love him I was in love with him. He cuddled me and kissed me once more, and that night I fell asleep on Steven’s shoulder. The next morning I woke up to his arm around me as soon as I sat my head up he smiled and said “wanna take a walk before Delaney wakes up?” This time we walked over to his grandpas barn and found an old golf cart. We sat in the golf cart as Steven cracked open a beer we talked about how we liked each other. Suddenly I felt Steven put his arm around me. I told him to look at me, and I kissed him again this time I pulled away quickly but Steven kissed me again. He finally pulled away and asked me “Odessa,will you be my girlfriend?”June 3rd 2018 well we were sitting in that golf cart he asked me to be his girlfriend I of corse said yes, but sadly we didn’t see each other again till the County Fair that year.
