One day in the middle of November a girl with short pink hair and blue eyes walked threw the halls of Kyōto Academy. The girl was named Ryuko Tsukimi, and her nickname was The Transfer Student. Why would she transfer to a new school, a new country in the middle of November. Well the reason is because her grandma lived in Kyōto Japan, and she wanted to spend her grandmas last moments with her. She took money out of her college savings just to move to Japan yo see her grandma. Now Ryu was living alone because her family lived back in America.

Ryu put her hand on the cold door handle to the office and open the door. “Welcome to Kyōto Arts Academy, how may we help you?” The office lady said and looked up from her work. “I-I’m Ryuko Tsukimi, a-and I’m here to pick up my paper work” Ryu said quietly. “Ah yes Ryuko Tsukimi, the transfer student” the lady said and got up. She stood their waiting quietly for the lady to come back. A few minutes passed by and the lady came back with her papers. “I see you were born in Japan but then you moved to the America’s when you were small” she said. Ryu nodded and held her papers to her chest. “Theirs also a student here from the Americas, his name is Atlas Smith” she said. Ryu felt like she remembered the name but couldn’t think why. She gave a small nod “H-Have a good day” she said and left the office.

Class 3-B read the sign above the classroom door. “Ah miss Tsukimi welcome and come introduce yourself” the teacher said. Ryu walked into the classroom and stood in front of the class. She took a deep breath and looked at the class. Students were looking at her waiting for Ryu to speak. “My name is Ryuko Tsukimi, you can talk me Ryu for short please” she said and gave a small bow. “Thank you Ryu, now you can take a seat by the window in the back” the teacher said. She sat up and gave a small nod and walked towards the desk. She took a seat and looked up front. “Atlas may you share your text book with Ryu till she gets one please” the teacher said. A boy with dirty blond fluffy hair stood up and bowed “Yes sir!” He said and sat back down. Atlas... the boy that the office lady was talking about. Atlas sat in front of her so her turned around and he gave a cheeky smile “Sup Ryu, I’m Atlas Smith nice to meet you” he said and scratched the back of his neck nervously. “Nice to meet you to Atlas” she said quietly and returned the warm smile.

After a few hours it was lunch time. Ryu took out her bento and opened it, warm rice, apple slices, and a ham sandwich. She took out her chopsticks and ate the rice in quiet. The boy she meet earlier was chatting with is friends happily. Ryu took a deep sigh and looked outside at the cherry blossom tree. She smiled as somebody haves her hips “Rawr!” A male voice said. Ryu screamed and jumped then turned around to figure out the identity of the person. It was Atlas. She looked at him right in the eyes and puffed out her cheeks a bit mad. “Please don’t do that again it scared me” she said. “S-Sorry!” Atlas replied and bowed. She giggled a little “Don’t be, I know you were just playing around Atlas” Ryu said and soften her expression.

It was the last period of the day and Ryu was taking notes and paying attention. Then her mind started to wonder off and thin back to her childhood.

“Ryuuuu!” A boy screamed. Ryu giggled and held up the centipede to his face. “Come on it won’t hurt!” She said with a bright smile. The boy cried and ran in circles while Ryu ran after him with it.

The flash back made Ryu laugh in the middle of class. “Ryu, outside now” the teacher said. Ryu resized and gave a nod “S-Sorry sir” she apologized and got up and went outside. She waited 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes passed the teacher came out and taped his foot. “I’m sorry sir, I wasn’t laughing at anyone, I was supposed to be paying attention and not thinking of my childhood memories” Ryu said and bowed. The teachers eyes widened in surprise “R-Ryu... no need to apologize anymore, your a good student, as long as it doesn’t happen again then I’m cool” he said and smiled. Ryu stood back up and nodded “Alright” she said. The bell ranged and it was the end of the day “Bye Kuro-sensie” she said and walked to her locker.
