Prologue
IMPORTANT NOTES:
This will be set in the future in 2177. There WILL be some futuristic objects/places. The characters will still have their electronics( phones, laptops etc.), but will not be used often (IT IS IN THE FUTURE!)
This is a LGBTQ story, so if you feel uncomfortable or anything, please click away. Also, since this will be situated in the future, in this story, homosexuality is no longer frowned upon. (I did this as i didn't want the story to be about a crazy family objecting to their homosexual relative.)
Also, before this starts, this is FICTIONAL, i repeat, it is FICTIONAL!
Thanks.

"Paul, we're running out of Luxiam, we need more or else Oscar will die. He needs it fast." Lydia said.
Paul was looking out of the window in his office. "Can we afford to send more people there? They can't win the battle! Those beast are savages!"
"Paul! Please, Oscar can't die! Not now! Can't we send better people there?"
"Lydia, i'll try, but i highly doubt it'll be successful. We stand no chance against them!"
Lydia ran up to Paul, and hugged him tightly. "I can't lose Oscar now, we did everything we could to make him, we cannot lose him now, not when we're so close, so close to succeding!" She was practically yelling now. Paul sighed. "Lydia, i worked just as hard as you, you think losing him will come as easy? I'll do everything i can, but let me tell you, i cannot promise you anything."
Tears were rolling down Lydia's face now. "Lydia, i'll figure something out, please, leave now," he said as he pried Lydia's hands off him. She staggered to the door, and slammed it shut. Paul groaned. Lydia was right, they cannot lose Oscar now, not when they are so close to the finish line. He closed his eyes, and took in deep breaths. It was practically impossible to collect it. People tried, and they never make it back alive.
They had also tried to duplicate it, but that clearly failed, with a huge explosion, lives lost and a huge hole that took 3 months to mend. He knew Oscar couldn't hang on much longer, and it is true that their supply were very low. It could only last a few more months, at most half a year. Thinking about it was making him crazy. He walked back to his desk, and typed something on his laptop.
It was the last resort. He had to send people there to collect it. No matter at what cost, Oscar must live, and Paul would do anything to make sure of it
"Morning Jan!" Mrs Hans, the woman in charge of the bakery greeted as he got off his bike outside the bakery. "Morning Mrs Hans, how are you?"
