I always asked myself 'what is this guy thinking?' whenever I stare at those paintings hung on the wall. Surely he wanted to say something. Everything has its reason and for this person, he certainly has a reason for everything he does.

The first painting is a woman staring at the sight outside the window. I can't tell what she was looking at. She was smiling yet there was sorrow in her eyes. It was a smile basked with loneliness, a smile filled with pain- it was a sad smile, something forced out to not worry the person she loved.

The second painting is a man who was looking up. I assume that he only might be thinking... or maybe he was looking at the sky. This one actually caught my interest. I could not see what expression he was making because his back was the only thing facing me. His raven hair shines against the light and danced along with the wind. Shades of blue bathed the canvas.

The third painting is a cat. It was a gray tabby. It was curled up in the middle of the empty midnight streets. It was realistic but it felt like something was missing. I can't tell what it is though.

The fourth painting is something more abstract. It looked like something painted by a madman. The mix of rough and light strokes tell me that he might have been furious and calm at the same time. Everything was chaotic and unrealistic but only one figure stays recognizable- a little boy.

I am not sure if my thoughts are correct but all I can do for now is guess. I don't even know why I was desperate to know what message he wanted to say but these paintings are eye catching, making me want to look at them more.

I wanted to know what he felt as he carried the brush in his hand.
