Prologue
“Welcome to the Game. Are you ready to play to the death? Your goal? You must seal as many demons and spirits into the minor Arcana cards as possible and fill your vial of their blood. You may enter contracts with high ranking demons to assist you in your missions. Your prize? You will have your greatest wishes granted as well as a special prize from HEADQUARTERS. There are no rules to how you need to obtain the demons. Compete with your brothers and sisters for the ultimate goal. We wish you the best of luck”
“Violet! We have another mission!”
“Understood”
A pair of girls. One with jet-black hair and crimson red eyes - Violet Wisteria. The other with dark brown hair and blood red eyes - Alice Ambrosia. They walk into an elevator leading down, deep into an underground lair. On one floor reading ‘level 20’, the elevator stops, allowing Violet Wisteria and Alice Ambrosia to walk out into a large floor containing rows and rows of different types of cars. At the parking bay labelled ‘07’, they enter a silver sports car and drive towards the car elevator, leading up to the surface.
On the road, Alice Ambrosia sits in the passenger seat staring and swirling a small glass vial half way filled with a red liquid.
“Hey Violet, how many Arcana cards have we collected?”
“28 out of 56. Since the vial is halfway full”
“Ugh, so we still have half way to go”
Alice Ambrosia groaned in frustration upon hearing that their goal was still a long way away. Violet Wisteria could only let her rarely heard chuckle out before instantly returning to her poker face. However, she also shared the same sentiment as her best friend. They both wanted their greatest wishes to come true. No matter what the costs are.
“Guess we gotta knock this mission out the park too. Just like we’ve always done”
Violet Wisteria nodded as she sped up the car. Their determination to win this game was their drive. They will win.
“Ezra, let’s head back to HQ. We’re done here”
“OK”
A pair of men. One with silver hair and scarlet red eyes - Ezra Rose. The other with royal purple hair and ruby red eyes - Leon Camellia. Ezra Rose stared at the double story house where they had just finished sealing a vengeful spirit, saving a normal family of four seeing the youngest daughter wave goodbye to him. He did not reciprocate the gesture and turned away, walking towards the pair’s black sports car and entering. Leon Camellia sat at the driver’s seat and drove off.
“Why didn’t you wave back brother?”
“We didn’t help them out of the goodness of our heart but for our selfish desires. It wasn’t right”
“Hmm… that’s quite righteous of you Ez”
Ezra Rose looked away from his partner and out the window, not wanting to comment. Just then, his eyes catch the attention of a particular silver sports car driving beside them. He would recognise that car and the pair of women inside it from a mile away.
“Look who’s next to us Leon”
“Hmm?”
Leon Camellia glanced back and forth between the car and the road in front of him. He noticed what his brother was on about. The two females in the silver car were the love of their lives. They would do anything for them. Even give up their part in the Game.
Leon Camellia honked the car, catching the attention of the one next to him. Violet Wisteria who was on the wheel glanced over then nudged Alice Ambrosia’s side. Alice Ambrosia leaned forward and smiled as she waved at the two males.
“On your way back?!”
Leon Camellia had to shout at the top of his lungs to allow his voice to reach the females, causing Ezra Rose who scrunch his face in annoyance.
“No! On our way to our next mission! Just led Violet the wrong way”
Typical of the two ladies. Alice Ambrosia had no sense of direction what-so-ever. Why Violet Wisteria allowed her to guide was a mistake as she shook her head in disappointment. It was going to be a long mission.
