Midnight running
I ran for my life.
“Aliyah! The more you run the worse the punishment.” My brother ,Robin, howled along with his pack of rogues. I ran harder, harder than I thought was ever possible. I could hear Troy and Luke’s loud breathing, they may be broad and muscular but I was small and fast. Quicker or so I thought until...
THUD!!!
I landed on my face as they pounced on me and held me down. As I was turned over I realised it wasn’t them it was the new two, Zac and Keegan. Zac was kicked out of his old pack for fretenising with the enemy, he is a big flirt and his blonde hair makes his blue eyes stand out. But Keegan is a whole other story, he isn’t even a rogue he just hangs out with them, although he is handsome with his golden eyes and brown hair I’m still not interested.
Zac lifted his fist drawing it back to hit me when Keegan grabbed it and pulled him off me. That’s when I got the time to take in the beautiful forest scenery, but of course that couldn’t last as he dragged me to my feet. I quickly realised this was my chance to turn and run fast because only Keegan could turn as well and he has said before that he wanted to free me. Only he knew I could access my wolf which was rare for any female werewolf.
I decided to surprise them by turning then they would be to shocked to chase me. I yelled
“stand back quick!”
As soon as I said it my bones cracked violently, my teeth grew, my body morphed and my white fur came through. I stood at least 7ft. The rogues mouths dropped but Keegan looked smug. I howled, twisted myself and ran. I listened and knew then they didn’t follow me.
After an hour of dodging in and out of trees I became exhausted. It was almost midnight when I finally found a lake. I turned back to my human self, stripped naked and bathed my self. Although the water was cold on my bare skin it felt amazing and was so clear I saw the fish that swam against my leg. I walked out and dried off and clothed myself. I cupped some water with my hands and drank thirstily. When I felt refreshed I decided that I needed shelter, I was starving but to tired to care. I walked around the lake and found a bush. I laid down and drifted off into a peaceful, dreamless sleep.
