Prologue: And they lived

“There’s an ancient island in the middle of the ocean. The biggest island you’ll ever see. There was a time were the island was nothing but wilderness whereuncontrolled tribes habitated the great island we know as Oléan. The wild animals lived amongst the tribes like pets, the trees grew higher than any tree had ever grown, the people lived divided in groups each in their own kind of nature. The north held most hardened men who could go from island to island without using as much as a ship. The west held immense mountains which touched the sky with tribes that can survive the hard weather that circled around the tops. The south was covered in deserted lands with half naked tribes riding on horses which are faster than the wind. The east has cliffs and canyons that open up the world like the gods created them, with cruel men with painted faces killing intruders in the most horror way. An the central and wildlands, where nature has no boundaries. Where the forests grow so high that they could compete the hills around them. That’s were the people live no one dares to encounter. Not even the strong form the north, the hardened from the west, the smart ones from the south and the cruel ones from the east. The forests were dark and

Some even said their were magical creatures amongst the shadows. Who could manipulate the real world, but there was never any proof of magic.

But the great island wasn’t unseen by others. The great leaders of the countries on vast land set foot on the island and became its habitants. The leaders called themselves the better, the highborn of the island. The tribes were pushed away and they had to make place for the lowborns: the new folk. The tribes who had lived there for thousands of years, who were shaped to their surroundings who had everything they ever lived for , were driven away like sheep in a herd. They resisted, they killed, but the highborns had armies and techniques the tribes had never heard of. Many fled to the islands around Oléan, leaving their homes. However a handful remained and hid. Some say they disappeared completely, no one ever sees them, perhaps the remaining tribes kill any intruder. Perhaps they’re really gone.

After settling on the island, the highborns felt better than anyone, they called themselves the true discoverers of Oléan. The hierarchy was born. But Oléan couldn’t be ruled by a dozen of highborn leaders. It was too big, too complicated so they split it in 5 big areas. 5 separate kingdoms. The north with island in the shape of a pyramid got the castle of Gazeh. The family Caratacus would rule the north. The west with the mountains was for the Lunattes, and named their castle after their family name. The south was an exotic place with desert lands and was in need of a king who could handle that kind of place: the family Galal. The east full of cliffs and canyons had trouble finding a king, the family Galal put a king there too. But they got punished for it soon enough. He two remaining areas were central Oléan and the wild lands. No one dared to set foot in the wild lands. They’re not to be tamed. The central became the road to other kingdoms.

The kingdoms were supposed to be seperate but soon the family Lunattes overpowered central a part of south , the islands and made alliances with the north. Their alliances made them rule the island. Until this day they’re still the most powerful. But those days will end.

There's a storm coming, but what that means exactly... only time will tell. Perhaps when that time comes, there will be a happily ever after, but at what costs?

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...

Miriam: I liked the way the plot was set up and then the relationship progressed. Some may not like the discretion but it all led up to a very happy ending with a bit of suspense leading up to it. Definitely a cliffhanger. Waiting for a follow-up.

Vampire: Great story. Clear plot line and very interesting. Characters are lovely and well made. Amazing writing skills and grammar. Only thing that was a little bit too much is the repetition but I guess it's a writing style? Anyways I love it definitely recommend it!
