Chapter 1
Baylee
Hi, I’m Baylee Smith and you might know my brother Gavin Smith who is also the star quarterback of Springville High. I have always lived in Gavin's shadow since he started football. Some people don't acknowledge the fact that I am around when we hang out with some of Gavin’s friends. Gavin has always been there for me when no one else was. Ever since our dad died last year, our mom has always favored him a lot more because he is so involved with more stuff. What I mean is that Gavin does things like everyone else but my parents think that what he does should be remembered. If I make a small mistake, mom would abuse me for it. I come to school with so many cuts, scraps, and bruises. Gavin has always protected me from them when he is able to. He has always been very anxious and scared about me but I tell him not to worry about me. Whenever Gavin is playing football with his friends or just hanging out with them makes him happy which makes me happy. We never tell anyone what goes on in our house because it’s a struggle trying to hide everything from Kat and Tyler( my friends) and Luke and Levi( Gavin’s friends) Gavin has even told me how he hates being the perfect child. Sometimes I don't understand why my parents hate me so much, they have even told me I am a disappointment and that I should be more like Gavin. I'm nothing like him and I'll never be like him. I guess you have heard enough of my story so let me start all the way over from the beginning and give more and better details.
