They say magic comes with a price. For me it did. Whether I wanted it or not it came to me. I never wanted any of this to happen. I never thought destiny would play with peoples fragile worlds and spin them out of control.
Sitting in the library at my desk silence was in the air. This was my sanctuary where I could come draw and get away from it all. The only place no one could bother me really. Its not that I hated people but people usually avoided me. No I wasn't ugly at all most people don't take well to stronger people who don't follow the crowd. I end up finishing my sketch and pack up my bag and start to leave when I was approached by my best friend Jasmine.
She has black hair, dark pale appearance with brown eyes, has a semi slim figure but still skinny never the less. She has a bright pink shirt on with yoga pants on. Jasmine is a very spirited girl always has a very dramatic entrance with bright colors. Sometimes I wish I had her personality always bubbly and positive. I am more the opposite positive yet self disciplined her bubbly spirit made uninteresting life better as shes always moving and singing. Myself on the other hand my figure is a tad smaller than hers, with thicker hips, pasty pale features with goldish blond-brown hair that swept down my back, with dark blue eyes.
As Jasmine approached me she smiled," Are you ready to go home I found what I needed for class." she asked. I replied, "Yes I'm all done here lets go, can you drop me off at home?" I asked as I started packing my art supplies into my bag. She nodded and we walked through the library doors to her car in the parking lot. Her car was a bright red Mitsubishi eclipse to me this car screams look at me but that is Jasmines personality. As we sat in the car Jasmine turned the key and we heard the roar of the engine. We started to back out and just as I took a deep breath we backed into another car.
Jasmine ran out of the car, "SHIT," she screamed. I jumped out and went to see the damage that was just happened her red plastic bumper was now in pieces laying on the cement. As we looked at the other car it was a silver Holden Commodore Omega VE even though the bumper was shattered it was still a nice car. Out popped an elderly man he was tall had gray silver beard with white hair a hazel eyes he wore a black suit clearly this man was driving someone around in this car professionally. The windows were tinted I could barely make out another figure in the car as I stared the passenger in the car moved his head slowly and looked up at me but I couldn't see his face.
The man in the suit approached us and asked, "Are you guys ok?" We nodded and proceeded to call the police to get this situated. The man went back into the car to check on his passenger. Jasmine thought this was weird so she started watching them through the tinted glass. As a few minutes went by I sat in the grass pulling up grass and weeds.
As I sat the elderly man got out of the car and approached me and asked, "How are you feeling." honestly I was getting a little bit of a headache. "I'm fine." I replied. I looked into his eyes they were soft but looked concerned. He watched me closely I took that as a sign to back away. As I stepped back he reached his hand out to me and introduced himself, "I'm Rob, I am sorry we weren't paying attention when your friend was backing out, my boss had gotten a serious phone call and as I was about to push the button to switch it to the cars speaker I drove into your guys car as for the damages they will be covered in full." I replied, "I'm Emeline, and this is my friend Jasmine, we were just trying to leave the library and head home."
As I stood there talking to the man for a few minutes Robs boss stirred inside the car shifted his gaze towards me. Even though I couldn't see his face I felt something pulling me to go see if he was staring at me. I walked towards their car and Rob stepped in front of my making me avoid my gaze towards the car. He nodded and asked a more personal question, "What is your relationship status?" "My what?" I asked barely paying attention. "What is your relationship status?" he asked again. I replied, "Its none of your concern." Then Jasmine intervened she gave him a death glare she handed him her information and pushed me into her car and she drove off with me hanging on for dear life. Its too bad we didn't wait for the cops to come I could have seen that mystery man in the passenger seat and why he was staring at me and refused to get out of his car.
As we approached my house Jasmine stated, "Girl that man is creepy as hell, asking you all personal questions." I ignored her question and kept quiet til she pulled up in the drive way, I got out of her car and proceeded to walk to my front door. She watched as I walked in and locked the door. Then she took off her eclipse and spun down the street as I waved goodbye.
Few hours later my thoughts were tracing what had happened earlier that day. I pushed it out of my mind while I got undressed and turned on the hot water to the shower. Waiting while it heated up I wiped off all of my makeup off and looked at myself in the mirror my reflection showed circles under my eyes it seems the accident wore me out than what I had thought. Stepping into the shower I rinsed off my body and hair and started washing both. After what seemed a half an hour I got out. I looked at myself in the mirror again wet hair trickling down my back as my towel laid around my chest covering the rest of my body. I couldn't help but think about how weird this day was. My mind started racing with thoughts the bathroom lights started to flicker as I felt that pull that I felt earlier that day who was the guy in the passenger seat? Why was he staring at me and what was with all the weird questions?
