The song

A voice, a beautiful voice that woke me up in the middle of the cold night like a lullaby. I walked slowly to the window trying not wake my little sister Jenny as she was sleeping innocently while my body is shivering from the cold air, and the beautiful voice giving me enough goosebumps to not know is it from the cold or the voice it self consuming me. I opened the window, and there she was a beautiful lady playing with her long navy wavy hair while moving her shinny grey tail slightly backward and forward. I couldn’t help but close my eyes doing what she’s doing playing with my long blonde hair.

hearing her soft voice opening my heart to it. As I leaned my head on the window feeling every second of this magical moment it was like we are one. Two different creature with one strong magical connection. I heard foot steps coming I walked fast to my bed but not fast enough as my father came in suddenly “Why up so late Atlanta? You going to be a lady tomorrow we don’t want you going looking dead.”

The smell of pancakes woke me and Jenny up it was a bright morning as the sunshine was hitting my face Jenny came jumping on my bed annoying me to wake up “ wake up! Wake up! Its pancake time or else I’m eating it all and all!.” I felt heavy after last night I had no excitement for today as my mom always plan my days for her future plan its like she having everything planned out before I was even born. I got up putting my toes on the cold floor slowly it was freezing but

sunny at the same time. I walked to the kitchen and there she was as she turned to look at me slowly. Dark black hair all nicely up her white skin and sharp blue eyes she smirked at me softly “ Atlanta my beautiful daughter, come my dear eat but not a lot we want the dress to fit you.”

I faked a smile being nice smiling back she always said that smile is a key to avoid a lot of useless talks. I sat next to Jenny smiling at her as she was eating her pancakes aggressively as someone was chasing her. I kept admiring her messy short curly hair, her big green eyes its like you can get lost in them. I just hope she never go through what I’m going through having an arranged life.

My mom tried her best to act like the perfect mom, house wife as she pouring her hearts in the pancake. I kept thinking is she that happy because I’m marrying someone she chose for me. I grabbed my fork putting my messy hair behind my ear ready to taste the warm fluffy pancakes, as I had my first bite closing my eyes enjoying it .

Suddenly grabbed my hand took the fork from me putting my pancakes on Jenny’s plate to finish it as she pulled me from my hand to the room “Ow mom wait!” I barely swallowed the bite. “ No time my dear! It’s the day you must be so happy as I am!.” I mumbled “You mean only you happy its what you want”. She grabbed my hair brushing it so harsh I felt I was going bald “You ungrateful child! You gonna do as I say and you going to make me and your father proud you gonna thank us later” I wanted to just scream and run away I felt helpless I wasn’t that strong to argue so I just closed my eyes squeezing them as she was brushing my hair “You such a beautiful daughter just like your beloved mother”. She kissed my cheek and went to bring my hair clip from the shelf next to her bed as if she bought it long time ago for this day. She pulled half my hair back putting few long curls in the front falling on my pale face. She added the clip on the half up do as my long bouncy curls looked thick and beautiful as if it was a curtain.
