Nope- Chapter One
Hello my name is Ashley. I am 18 years old. I have a younger sister named Lexi, she’s 16. I am the daughter of a pretty memorable alpha. Well I should get on to the story before you readers die of bordom. TnT
I was just chilling in my bed writing in my diary until my little sister came in.
Her hair black midnight hair was curled. She was wearing a pale pink dress that went all the way down to the floor and the bottom part of the dress was covered in blue pastel flowers.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! YOU SHOULD BE GETTING READY FOR THE BALL!” She shrieked.
Ugggghhhh!!!! Let me tell you now that I hate balls. You have to wear stuff you don’t want to against your own will! Dresses....uggghhhhhh.
“I don’t want to go!” I mumbled under my breath.
I really hate going to these things.
“Well you have to go! Wether you like it or not! Who knows maybe you’ll find you mate there..hehehe!”
“SHUSHHH YOUR GOING TO WAKE HER UP!”
(Her is refering to my inner wolf, her name is Clara)
I don’t know why I said that because now she’ll start saying it louder.
“FIND YOUR MATE! FIND YOUR MATE! FIND YOUR MATE!”
Is what she kept saying for around 2 minutes. Then Clara was awaken...
I lost control of my body and she said
“Mate? Mate! MATE!”
When I restored control I said
“SEE LOOK WHAT YOU’VE DONE!
and let out a low growl.
She rolled her eyes at me trying to be sassy. And before she left gave my a wink and said
“Don’t be late to meet your mate.”
I knew I couldn’t escape from my fate. But the ball would start in a few hours and I wouldn’t NEED to be there until all the alphas are here. So i looked through my closet and found a dress my mom gave me. She wasn’t here anymore she died when I was 10. She was walking around in the garden with me when a rogue wolf came out and attacked us. I was knocked out cold so I didn’t know what was happening. She was the nicest werewolf ever but you couldn’t let her niceness and pretty face fool you she was the best fighter in the pack. I few weeks before her death she gave me her old fighting dress. She told me when she was young she would run, jump, kick, punch, and fight in this dress and said one day I would need to show someone not to mess with us ladies. It was always to big for me but it fit just right now. It was a royal purple dress. It sparkled in the light. It was also short so she could do all the thing she did. I put it on along with some black boots she gave me. I headed to my bathroom and brushed my hair. I curled my black long hair and left to the training grounds.
I have been in training ever since my mom passed away. I felt weak and helpless when I found out she was dead. I wanted to show her that I could be strong and firce too. Anyway she would like me talking about myself like this.
I walked up to the training grounds. It had green grass but the outskirts were covered in dead brown grass. I walked up to Captain Fritz, he is our pack’s Beta and asked him if I could lend a paw in helping him train the recruits. I did this so often it was part of my routine. He looked at me and said, “You always train them so well how could I not?“. He glances back at the recruits and said, “We are lucky enough that our to be Luna decided that she would like to help me train you guys for today so show your respect.” They all looked at me and bowed giving me respect. I really liked getting to know the recruits before they become wolf guards or warriors. It gives me a chance to get a better connection with them. Like how our best warrior, Colin used to br the worse in the bunch when I trained him, he could barely avoid a punch now he can beat almost any threat. I train them for what seemed lile forever. First, they continued their streches and then went to hand to hand combat. The group I was helping coatch was actually pretty good from what I expected. They knew the basics along with a few pretty good moves. After a while, we moved on to weaponed combat.
It was getting really dark when we got our water break, I sat down on a nearby bench and with the corner of my eye, I could see someone staring at me. It was definitely a male and he was in the ballroom.
Weirdo!
Before I could get a better look my dad let out a howl that meant I had to go to the ballroom. I told rhe Captain to let the recruits go home early and start training slightly earlier tommorow. I brushed the sweath from my head. I put my sword away in a belt my dress had and walked to the entrance. I can’t wait wait to get there! Not. Then Clara said, “Come on Ashley! Stop being a party pooper! I love these things! She was so lying to me. “Oh really? That wasn’t the case in the last ball we went to. You probably think this one is better because we could find our “Mate” at this ball!” I told her in an angryish tone “You know I don’t want a mate! I could handle myself just fine!” I told her calming myself down. She sighed and hushed up. As I walked up to the packhouse entrance my dad suddenly appears in front of me with his arns crossed against his chest. “Ashley why are you training recruits when you should be greeting our guests!” he scolded me. I huffed and rolled my eyes. “Whatever just go greet our guests remember you have to try to find your mate today.” he turned to go back into the ball. Before he could leave I said, “Why?” He turned back and glanced at me. “Why do I need some dumb mate when I could handle myself just fine?!” I growled. “I’m turning old and there needs to be an alpha to protect and help you lead the pack.”
“I don’t need some dumb mate though..” I stood there and I went back up to my room. I got my diary and my quill and then went down to introduce myself or greet everyone. After I introduced myself to most alphas, betas, and other wolves I went to the darker side of the room and wrote in my diary. Did I forget to mention that I hated these things? Oh never mind I think it’s drilled into your head already. I got up a few times to get a snack from the dessert table. I couldn’t wait for this ball to be over. I may sound like a complete party pooper but I hate being dragged along to these things like what are you supposed to do? There are a few things I like about balls. One of them is food. At a ball, you can eat as much as you want and not pay for it! The food at balls also isn’t some cheaply cooked food either. It could be raw or cooked pork on a stick or something better! Nothing is better than food when you’re hungry. I got up because my back was starting to ache from sitting in the corner writing in my diary. I looked around for my sister. It was actually pretty easy to find her because I could smell her. I hadn’t seen her since she left my room earlier today but she smelled like strawberries and coconuts. She was dancing with some guy. I walked up to them and they stopped dancing. “Sis guess what this is my mate!” I looked over at the guy next to her. He was taller than her by a few inches. He had dark brown hair, emerald green eyes that sparkled in the light. He was wearing a white tux and had a rose in one of those small pockets most tuxedos have. I was actually mistaken when I said Lexi smelled like coconuts it was him. He smelled of coconuts and he looked almost perfect for my sister. “Hello, I’m Ashley, Lexi’s older sister.” He held a hand to shake and I did. He said, “Pleasure to meet you as you know I’m Lexi’s mate my name is Alexander.” I stayed and talked about I don’t know what because I smelt a sweet vanilla with chocolate. I must be hungry. I excuse myself from Lexi and Alexander telling them I needed to go get some food. While I walking to where the food was Clara said, “He’s here!”. Sometimes she goes crazy so I ask knowing she won’t even know who she was rambling on about. I ignore whatever she was going to say and continue to go get myself some food. She keeps wagging and howling in my head. She really has gone crazy. I need to take her and me to the veterinarian. I grab some chocolate and vanilla donuts and put them on my plate. While I was looking for what else I want to eat. And suddenly a guy stands next to me and whispers in my ear. The words let me shook “Hello little mate.” I think to myself Holy shi-
