Chapter 1

Number of Victims: 5 - 15+

Location: Maryland, USA

Before it all began, Joe was a truck driver with a wife and child. His son meant everything to him, but Joe despised his spouse.

“She was a crack addict and a worthless piece of shit. I would have paid her to get out of my life.”

One day, in 1994, Joe got his wish. Though, it had an unfavorable catch.

Joe puffed out an exhausted sigh as he climbed the steps to his apartment. It had been yet another long night of overtime work, and he was really feeling it. He just wanted to get to sleep, but he knew his damned excuse of a wife would cause trouble for him the moment he opened the door. He grumbled to himself at the mere thought of dealing with that whore’s babbling. He hated leaving his 12-year-old son alone with that wretched woman each day; his son was the only good thing that came from her. As he lugged himself up the final step, he paused for a moment.

It was awfully quiet...that’s strange. Normally he would at least hear the sound of voices on the television, or the faint clattering of dishes in the kitchen.

Perhaps she decided to go to sleep before he arrived for a change. He let out a light chuckle as he fiddled for his keys, maybe he can finally have a little peace and quiet. As he began opening the door, his heart sank to his stomach. Not a single light was on. His son is afraid of the dark, there’s no way he’d be able to be asleep without at least the hallway light. Joe tries to fight back the panic bubbling up inside him as he flips the lights on. He scans the living room. Nothing. A feeling of numbness starts to engulf him as thoughts race through his mind. He storms to his son’s room, hastily throwing open the bedroom door and slapping the light on. Nothing. The bed is still made, there are no toys strewn about, it’s as if he never came back from school.

As if he never came back from school...

No.

Nonononononononono there’s no way. This can’t be happening. That bitch!

He searches through the entire house, confirming his suspicions. There is no school backpack. None of his favorite toys.

No suitcases.

“F U C K !”

He slams his hands onto the kitchen counter, shaking with rage. That disgraceful woman had taken his son and ran.

For six agonizing months Joe searched for his missing son, only to discover that his wife had moved to another town, and had turned towards prostitution to pay the bills. She had gotten busted for drugs a few days after he discovered their whereabouts. His son was taken away into custody, and unfortunately, due to his criminal record, he had no way of getting his precious boy back. Joe was at an all time low in his life, he may never be able to see his son, but there was one thing he could do.

Get revenge.

Not in this case and the story line flowed. Like how the ending was as such that it could be open...
