Chapter 1 - Friends
I didn't know I was reaching out for you while I was falling. I didn't know I was pulling you down with me while I was falling. I was so caught up in my own hurting I didn't notice I was hurting you too.
Standing here, face to face with the person I'm supposed to call mother. In the corner of the attic, ringing in my ears after getting yelled at and beat. Im not even sure if she's stopped yelling at me. "Amara are you even paying attention!!" She yelled, "You're so stupid why did I even end up pregnant! You runined my life!!!"
She finally left. Im left to tend to my own wounds and shower before getting ready for school. The hardest part of all... Pretending that I'm not in pain.. Every bump of the shoulder in the hallway, every high five, every fist bump. I'm happy that I was able to figure out that Korean foundation covers every single bruise and scratch and stays on all day after watching a YouTube video on it.
"Amara! " Daisy said excitedly "Your late today? What happened your never late? "
"I thought I was charging my phone last night but I guess it wasn't and my alarm didn't go off"
"Aww man haha that sucks Barry did that last week and was in a bad mood all day" She said giggling.
"Anyway let's go off to class before your really late" I just nodded along
Daisy is the first friend I made in middle school after nobody else wanted to be my friend because my mom slept with the principal and his wife divorced him. She was the smartest girl in the class maybe that's why she understood that my moms acactions have nothing to do with me. She's pretty tall too. Standing at 5'8 really pretty black hair, brown almond shaped eyes, and a Barbie like figure she's always been chased by guys but she's not really into dateing she says she wants to wait a bit more.
Berry on the other hand has been my friend since we were babies. My mom didn't always beat me and hate me.. I think... She used to take me to the park and she made some friends there and I made A friend there. Berry. He's been through everything with me. I still don't know how he's my friend still I mean he's amazing hot with those green doe likeneyes, dark brown curly hair that your just wanna ruffle all the time ( I might actually do that all the time), his athletic figure, and he's 6'2, he's amazingly smart, and so kind to everyone. He's just unreal the only problem is that he never knows when a girl is flirting with him or insinuating more.
He's gotten into soo many problems because of that too. But Berry will always be Berry.
"Where is Barry anyway? " I asked
"He's with Mr. Meade, he's trying to teach him to not be as stupid when it comes to girls. I don't think it's working very well those because Andrea tryed to flirt with him this morning and he was completely clueless"
"I don't think there's any helping that guy sometimes I wonder if he really is clueless or acts like it so they go away on their own and he doesn't hurt them"
