Chapter 1
I sat down in the sand on the edge of the water, and started out across the water. A few birds were flying just over the horizon, making for a beautiful view. I sat here for a while, surrounded by the peaceful sound of the seagulls they screamed at one another.
"Are you all alone?", spoke an inquiring voice, sounding somewhat concerned.
"Maybe I am, but why do you care.", I spoke in a monotone voice, not wanting whoever it was to here my fear. I dared not turn around, that might open room for conversation, which I didn't care for at the moment.
The voice said, "I know you don't want to speak to me, but I'm lonely. I know you are to. Your parents aren't here, and your brother who was supposed to watch you, left you here and went to the movies with his girlfriend."
"How do you know that, and who are you?"
"Why don't you turn around and see.", answered the voice.
