Chapter 1
I sighed as I got off work. My short black stilettos click against the pavement and nod my head to the beat of the song through my earphones. Cars honking and people talking is heard in the background but all I can focus on is to go back home and have a nice warm bubble bath.
I stuff my earphones back in my bag and reach for my keys. I unlock my apartment door and lock it back again after I enter. I toss my keys into the basket on my kitchen counter and my bag onto my grey sofa. It was nearing 7 so I took out some leftover pizza and warmed it in the microwave. I took it out when the timer went off and ate on my marble kitchen counter. I didn't bother getting any proper dining table because I never had any friends over.
I quickly finished my slice and went to take a bath. I opened the tap and warm water gushed out. I went into my bedroom to retrieve my comfortable pajamas which consisted of cloud printed crop top and matching shorts.
I went into my bathroom and put all my clothes on top of the counter right beside the marble faucet. I added cold water to even out the temperature and added my favorite grapefruit citrus bath bomb.
I took off my work clothes and threw into the almost full hamper. I dipped my toes in the tub of warm water and deciding it was in the right temperature, I slid in and sighed as I felt all the knots on my shoulders start to relax. After a good 15 minutes of soaking in the now lukewarm water, I pulled the plug and quickly washed my hair and rinsed my body. I towel dried my body and hair and changed into my pajamas.
I moved into the living with my towel around my neck and got comfortable on my sofa. I scrolled through Pinterest for quite some time then realized it was nearing 10, I got up and turned off all the lights, hung my towel on the towel rack inside my bathroom and slipped into my bed covers after making sure to set my alarm for tomorrow and charged my phone.
I closed my eyes and a deep sigh left my lips as another busy day has passed and another would begin in a few hours.
