Talented Horror Shorts
"Well, with formidable reviews already written, I keep it a bit shorter. To avoid repetition and copycatting. The 3 stories included on date of reviewing were: 1 - Jezebel. 2 - Eight-legged Freaks 4 - Gum Of course I posted an inquiry about story 3, and how it went missing... I would agree on Jezebel being the weakest story, which could have been improved by some character development of her BEFORE the final twist. I also think `Gum´ has the modern touch of `life is cheap´, which MANY modern readers may identify with. Not necessarily only from future-victim perspective. But, to me more important: The author is skilled, open-minded on criticism, and delivers good quality horror stories. Some parts I find a bit lengthy, and this is not about my preference of shorter fiction. It is noted, as the author may save time by not investing more efforts than needed on it. Overall, and with some knowledge about the joy of unpaid extra work: This author needs only the decision to be adamant on proofreading & the time working with what i call the mandatory 3 critics per story, to go into sales with all her works. A refreshing exception from all the half-hearted copycat poo, which contaminates the horror community."
Interesting
"[Chapter one: Jezebel] I've enjoyed this story overall, even though the first half was pretty slow for a short story (but that is a personal preference) and I wished very hard it wouldn't turn into a romance. Hopefully it did not! I really enjoyed Jezebel's reckless escape, although she had literally nowhere to go, but not knowing what awaits you can feel even worse. The writing is fluid, easy to read, not overwhelming with details and descriptions of things and yet not straight to the point either. On the down side, though, there was quite a few grammar, syntax and verb tense mistakes. I'd consider reading your upcoming stories a few times before posting to make sure it is properly edited. Also be careful about words written in place of others. For example, 'read' instead of 'reach'. Overall a pretty enjoyable read and I've marked it for future chapters! Keep writing :)))"
