1972 three teens vanished. How could this happen in a place where nobody was a stranger? The biggest crime in the last five years was a vandalized church and knocked over headstones. "Ewin Ledbetter, the city police chief had no trouble finding the the little hoodlums. Community service and repainting the church was punishment received." How does three boys vanish into the night? they were last seen at the bowling alley. A Small town hangout. Employees- seen nothing out of the ordinary. Rumors-ran like wildfire in dry brush. Locals accused and suspicions abound (Prejudice ran deep in the south) it came natural in narrow minded small towns. In time, the cases went cold. Budgets and other priorities took precident. Leads with no weight went filed away. The people of Oak Hill moved on. Over the years people came and went. Most have died or just plain want to forget. If one moved to this town, illusions of normality await. Few who know the story well, are retired.
