Chapter 1
Far west in the Air Nation, a continent that stands separated by a sea from the Federation in the East, chaos was brewing in the capital of Melbrin. Lyght Volden could not believe what was before his eyes, a wasteland was before his eyes. It was all around him. He was in-circled by death and destruction.
He rose his head and got to his feet despite the dizziness. A sharp pain shot into his left arm, and unconsciously he winced. It felt like needles were racing in his veins.
A voice said to him, "Look what you have done. You are cursed!" He could not believe it, how could he, out of everyone else be cursed? Why him, Lyght Volden? He was in the gutter already cursed from birth, his entire life was a mess. Born out of a harlot by a greedy noble- Lord Bourmount, who had denied to acknowledge him as his son, yet this was happening to him.
He had blacked out in the middle of the market, which now lay in destruction. He quickly began to run left, there was a shipyard ahead of him. He knew if he was right then his life was in danger. With all the energy he had left he got out of site and was now staggering in some path. He knew his time was out.
He knew his curse was just like the one of "the famous Grey wolf", which was reported. A Dragon was manifesting, his cursed left arm was killing him.
Days ago, when Grey wolf was reported or rather admitted by the diabolical gang of tyrants calling themselves the Circle, Lyght immediately related to the report. At least part of him did though he was denying the signs of the curse. As a student of Nirode who was a great Air nation Philosopher and a member of the Circle of Justice, research came pleasant to him. Thus, he scavenged for any relevant information concerning Grey Wolf, yet the parallels were perplexing. He had the same marks on his left arm just as Grey and was experiencing blackouts and pains.
A thought kept coming to his mind, but he kept pushing it aside.
"This is impossible, why me?" He convinces himself.
He staggered to a stop to catch his breath. This was too much to take in for him. Another question hit him. Why were there no flames?
He was well informed that in the city of Karma there was a discharge of a blast, fire, and ash graced the skies, and a premature manifestation of a Dragon was seen according to eyewitnesses. However, this case was peculiar, with no fire and ash, only blown-oof structures This made it difficult for him to conclude that he had a Dragon within him. It was not that his intellect was failing him. He was too smart. Something seemed off, the event before him was quite different from the incident in the city of Karma. However, a question kept whispering to his soul, it was asking "Why?".
Before he could figure out what was happening a person appeared ahead of him. He wore a black cloak that went over his head.
"Young man, stop where you are going?" The man said.
When Lyght turned around but another one was behind him.
"There is nowhere to run, you must come with us"
Lyght was trapped in the alley with nowhere to run. He could not decide what to do. He knew the men behind him, were the Air nation mages, magicians of the 5th Circle.
Without any mental reservations, he charged towards his lungs screaming out. The man in front of him lifted his hand. Lyght knew if only he could get near him, he could knock his brain out. They were of the same stature, medium built, and height.
"Perfectus de paralysis setup!" The voices said from behind and ahead. Then instantly, his running died in a crash.
A bright light stung from the man's hand confronted him, his heart skipped while his sight went black. He slammed his head into the ground, his sense of hearing was leaving him last.
"Do you think it has worked?" A voice asked in the distance.
"I dont know, I guess so. "
"I think we should seal him, we dont know what his power is. If he has a Dragon, we are better off sealing him and gassing him with a silent night."
Yes, that is true."
Okay, I like the premise so far. Though your grammar usage is a bit off putting. You say a continent that stand separate when it should be stood, the first quote/dialogue is not correctly capitalized. "look what you have done." Look should have a capital L like so. And you say before his eyes twice. I'd recommend going back over and reading this chapter aloud to clear things up. I think I could get into it more with some improvement. I will wait to put a review to see how it goes later.
Thanks a lot, I will polish it up. Your feedback is appreciated. I will look into the issues you have raised.
