Beyond The Limits
Crackle! Pop! And a light blooms in the palm of my hand. I toss it into the pre-made fire, probably from a abandoned camp site or something. I sit in the freezing cold wishing I was back home, about 3 days ago I was with my dad at his work. I went to go to the bathroom when a horrible shrieking came over head. I stepped out of the stall to see a huge flame making its way into the bathroom, looking for its next victim. I back up against the wall and look for a way out. I see a window overhead and pop it open. I clambered out, but just before my shoulders got through I felt a sharp pain on the right side of my neck, and a dark liquid run down my back. It hurt but the heat was getting more intense so
I pushed through and fell flat on my back. It nocked all the air out of me. I sat there looking at the window and soon enough saw the fire peak out at me. I sighed in relief and remembered my dad. My dad!! I ran to the front of the building and looked frantically for my father. My head was spinning, I heard people but couldn’t tell what they were saying. I saw many ambulances pull up. Then I passed out. I woke up the next day, still on the ground...? I sat up slowly and saw the fire was put out. Had they run out of ambulances? I decided to walk home, I knew you had to walk on a path through the forest to get back to my neighborhood. So I set off confident I knew the way. Long story short I did not know the way.
