Chapter 1
Loud footsteps, fast breathing, ripping and tearing behind me. It sounds like a beast is eating something or someone. Why am I here! I think to myself as I slid a bookcase in front of the door I just came through after closing it.
This house was abandoned so no one to call for help. how did I get to this house, One second I am going home from school and then... a loud crash shocked me out of my thoughts I stared at the door that had the bookcase in front of it. The wolf-like creature stood there, its fur glistens with the blood of its victim. A sense of fear rises within me. I back away from the creature that moved closer ever so slowly like it could rip me apart in a second. I back up into a wall and that when it hit me I was trapped the pray.
The creature stepped closer into the moonlight. Black fur and blue eyes that look so familiar like I have seen them before. The body of the creature was fit and build to run, it was shaped like a human-wolf mix just like the stories of werewolves. Have I come across a real werewolf, am I going to die here by this beast’s hands? My thoughts were running like crazy.
As the wolf-like creature moves its head closer I close my eyes and waited for my brutal fate by this thing but I just feel ahead on my chest. I open my eyes to see the creature head laying on my chest. I look at this creature up and down, it was scared to look at but cute too. I put a shaking hand on top of the creature’s head, I see the tali of the creature starts to move back and forth like a dog. Cute.
I sat there petting this thing for an hour or two. Then a sun peers over the hill where the house where I am. Ones the sunlight hit the werewolf’s head it shot up and the creature stood up to turn and run out the door. Before it left the room it turns to look I swear I saw a hint of sadness that it had to leave me. Once The werewolf left, I got up and ran to my home. I ran through the open door like me was going to end if I didn’t and I thought it would.
The moment I got into the house I was hugged by my mom and sister “where have you been Madison?” my mother yelled but I stay quiet knowing that if I said anything, she will just call me a liar.
My mother told the quietness as a way to yell at me more by the time she was done I was so sleepy. Just my luck my mother sends me to bed with food but I didn’t care I was just so sleepy. The moment I hit the bed I was out like a light. Not even an hour later my alarm clock goes off, tired I sat up and looked around my room. Mess like all ways.
Rolling out of bed to get ready for school. The thought goes through my head. What happened last night, what was that thing, and how did I get there. I think about what happened as I step in the shower. I was walking home from school like I always do, someone talks to me as I walked I think it was my friend Jess, we walk through the park and then. I touch the back of my head it hurt a lot as someone hit me with a bat. Is jess ok?! That was the last thought as I jump out of the shower and ran to get dressed for school with the thinking my friend could be hurt or killed.
I stop running as I make my way downstairs. My mother and sister sitting at the table eating breakfast. I just walk out the after gapping a pop-tart and ran to my bus stop where I saw Jess standing there waiting for the bus.
“Jess!” I yell as I hug her.
She a bit startled by the sudden hug but she hugged “hey! Is everything ok?”
I pulled away from the hug look at her with confusion.
“do you not remember what happened last night?” I asked tilting my head a bit.
“Yeah I do me and you walked home we got to my house and you left to go to your house,” she said that like she was certain that what happened.
I try to think about what happened last night but the thing that comes to mind is that werewolf thing. The creature was cute but terrifying and I have a weird feeling like I want to see it again. Like I want to know more about it and it’s they are a werewolf in real life. The bus snaps me out for my thoughts. When the bus doors open me and jess step onto the bus.
We sit in the last seat on the bus, me by the window and jess on the other side. As the bus starts to move along the rood I look out the window watching the tree and cars go by but then I see it out of the corner of my eye. It the werewolf thing from last night. I quickly stood up and move pass jess.
“where are you going?” I keep going ignoring jess.
The bus driver stops the bus “hey going back to your seat!” the bus driver yells as I push on the bus door intel the door open.
I run to where I saw the werewolf. I step into the start of the forest. I look around the area. I ran into the forest, I look around as I ran.
“Where did you go?” I right before I fell due to a big rock I didn’t see.
I go sailing into the air. I get ready to hit the ground but I don’t. Something no someone catches me.
“I know it’s hard to stay on your feet in the woods.” a voice said as it started to walk with me in its arms. I look up to see a woman with black hair.
“Thanks for catching me but can you put me down.” the woman looked down at me with sky blue eyes “ oh yeah I can.” the site me on my feet.
I looked at the women up and down and saw that she was in only jeans that were ripped in many different places. “Oh um I think you need a shirt and new pants.” I said as I look away “oh yeah just stay right there I will be back.” the women quickly run into past the trees. I sit on the ground and wait.
I don’t know why I waited just something about that woman was so familiar but I can’t place it.
“Ok sorry about that I didn’t think my clothes had rip that much.” the woman scratch behind her head and let down a hand to help me up.
I look at the hand waiting for the moment that my hand touches it the hand would disappear like a dream but hand lands on her and she helps me up.
“ so you were following me?” the women look little bit down because she was taller than me “ no I was following a werewolf thing, and I know that is crazy I know-” I was stopped by the women placing a finger to my lips and looking around “ Is someone there?” the women call out seemingly into the air.
I was going to say something but I hear the sound of leaves being stepped on. The women seem to stand up a bit straighter as the sound drew closer, and closer. Soon the figure step out the woman put an arm around me protectively “ what are you doing Oscar?” she says with a hiss.
