Summary

Hello, the relevant.  So you may be asking yourself, ‘Why am I reading a journal from a totally irrelevant person?’ Well that’s your decision to keep reading. Is my writing really that good? Anyways, I only told you before so you do not get your hopes up expecting much, like some magical tale, or the cure to cancer, not even some huge school secret. Not even a small one. Nope, totally irrelevant here.

Chapter One - Totally Irrelevant

Nope, this really isn’t a story, just my life. The Totally irrelevant one. No huge story. If you are looking for something interesting, ask a jock or cheerleader for their phones. There will be your story. So this is my journal. My Totally Irrelevant Story.

0

At my school, you have the jocks, the sports fans, the nerds, the popular white girls. You have the wannabees; you have everyone you can think of. But you have so many in-between, the upper-middle class of Indians. The popular Indians, the soccer dudes, soccer girls, there are the white acting black guys and girls, then the black acting white guys and girls. There are so many others, to be honest. Funny enough, that is just in my grade. Going through each one would take ages, and frankly, I don't have time. Then you have me, the totally irrelevant nobody that just lives here. That’s who I am. All there is to me is right there.

0

I must admit, life has really changed. The athletes are out playing video games; the preps are getting good grades, sometimes. Life has changed, yet a single thing hasn’t changed. The relevance of people. Popularity.

0

I guess that’s why I am here. At the bottom.

Hello, the Relevant.

0

So you may ask yourself, ‘Why am I reading a journal from a totally irrelevant person?’ Well, that’s really your decision to keep reading. Is my writing really that good? Anyway, I only told you before so you do not get your hopes up expecting much, like some magical tale, or the cure to cancer, not even some huge school secret. Not even a small one. Nope, totally irrelevant here.

0

So here you go, here is my life.

0

I always look at the bigger picture, something others need to do sometimes. I observe people so much that now I can tell the people who are sad, happy, or alone. Everything honestly. I’ve done nothing about it. If I had then, I’d need to talk to someone. Not my scene.

0

Instead, I watch the hero of another story to save the day. I’m never that person. Has anyone ever noticed the superhero before they become the superhero? Does anyone care about that story? They become famous and suddenly everyone cares. Are those the only time anyone cares?

0

Don’t you ever wonder about the townsperson 1 in a play? What about extra acting in a show or movie? Or have you ever noticed and questioned the unknown and unmentioned person in the crowd? Well, if you want to know, here it goes. I mean, if you don’t, that’s cool too. You can delete this email. Forget me and go about your day. You were anyway.

0

If you are still reading this, then I am that person, so welcome to my life, population 1.

0

I can vouch that the world does not in fact revolve around you. Never did, and honestly, never will. Shocking? I know.

0

Do you see that burning ball of fire in the sky? The one you usually can not look right at without squinting or blinking? What is it called again? Right, the sun. As long as this planet had been around for the Earth had only centered on one thing, that was the sun. Never you. For the eighteen-ish years, or less, you've been alive the earth has not suddenly just changed orbit.

0

Totally Irrelevant is what I’ll answer to. Nice to meet you. You might as well get to know me because I won’t be irrelevant for long.

0

Maybe.

What started as something to pass time, it changed. So, so much. People noticed me. Well, not me exactly. They noticed my alternate ego. No longer was I totally irrelevant. I was The Totally Irrelevant. With only a little relevance now. Nothing changed, still, no one knew me.

0

So I guess my story isn’t totally irrelevant to everything, but it started that way. No one would notice if I had disappeared, but now they would. But not in the way I had originally would have wished.

0

The reason I started this was so I could open people’s eyes. So people could notice the totally irrelevant people they push aside to make room for themselves.

0

But there is more to people than anyone knows anymore. People are struggling to know that, I believe. I want to hope that there are some people that want to know more than they do.

0

I really want to believe that...

0

More than that, I want to open their eyes. I wanted them to see me. If they could, maybe I could become someone again.

0

Maybe it was too much to wish more though.
