Summary

Sierra Nevada mountains, Northern California, November 8, 2019. Dwelling within the dense forest, pleased with the peaceful atmosphere away from the cities' streets of strangers. Our family is just blossoming and I am so blessed to raise them in such a gorgeous place, overlooking the world from our perfectly perched home upon a shelf atop the mountain. Beyond our own grove, beautiful Oroville Lake glistens and still beyond the banks, over Table Mountain a panoramic view of the Cityscape. Glancing above the three cities, across the sacramento valley, the Coastal Cascades rise up out into our awesome southerly skyline. To the southeast, Paradise and Chico's lights sparkle in a proud evening's appearance. Hawks glide barely above our porch in the winds gracefully swooping down to devour the field mice. Our little parcel is remote up some miles on gravel roads and remote out into the peninsula dividing North and West Branch Feather Rivers, which settle in the massive reservoir. Lucky we are to be free from the ruckus and the noise of town. Early in the winter morning, within the underbrush, I was gathering oak and madrone firewood from our own property. The chainsaw was running fine, but I neglected to get extra two-stroke oil for the gas tank. So, after a brief few trees felled, the tool sputtered and died empty of fuel. It's about 10 miles down to the country store named the Dome
