"The thing I found most interesting about this story was the dynamics between James and Kara. There was definitely an undercurrent of destructive, oppressive, possessive carnal lust. I would definitely define this relationship as unhealthy in so many ways. I found myself wanting to shake some sense into Kara by telling her to run from Damen and James and never look back. I would even go so far as to tell her to stage her own death to disentangle herself from this ticking time bomb. These character's relationship gives me a feeling of angst and makes my skin crawl, which can be good and bad. I am unsure how I feel about this story, because I feel like I am on the precipice of watching a family implode (and not in a good way). You have definitely done a good job at making me want to pound some sensibility into a story character."
