Prologue-The Only One-
Once soon a time, there lived ice wolves. They were the strongest, fastest, and most peaceful you could come by. They were the rulers of the land.
But some didn't like that they were the rulers. THEY thought that they were superior to the ice wolves.
THEY were the fire wolves. Even though fire could melt ice, the ice wolves always won. The moon goddess had blessed them, so they could keep the peace.
The fire wolves couldn't stand it, so they did the only thing they could think of. WAR. They started a war with the ice wolves.
The other two elements, earth and air, didn't get envolved. They were smart that way because the only victor of that war was the fire wolves.
They played dirty, but effectively. After many centuries from the war, there was a crowned king of all the elemental wolves. Of course it was a fire wolf, they were the strongest now. Even if the moon goddess disapproved.
The other two elementals complained, but were silenced almost immediately. Generation after generation, we evolved so much that we became werewolves.
Soon we all split up into packs and territories by order of the king. In these packs are alphas, betas, gammas, deltas, warriors, and omegas. Alphas are the leaders of the pack, betas are the second in command if the alpha is not around. Gammas are third in command, they mostly handle the paperwork and all that. Deltas are the top warriors of the pack and help train the other worriors.
Warriors are basically what the name means and just basic citizens. Omegas are the lowest of the pack. Basically they are some-what a slave.
With the fire wolves as the strongest, they are at the top of the food chain, the royals. While air is second because air can boost fire. Earth has the position of peasants or commoners.
That's what they think I am. They think I am in the earth class. Just defected because I haven't shifted or gained my earth ability yet. So they punish me for being different. They beat, whip, throw mean names at me, and make me feel degraded. Just because I haven't gotten my ability yet.
Now that we are evolved werewolves, we get a special ability of our element since our old wolf selves were able to contour up the ability of their element. Sixteen is when we get our ability, this time is also when we are alegable to get a mate as well as shift for the first time. A mate is a special person, a soulmate, your other half, and your purpose in life.
I am at the age of nineteen and have yet to get an ability of earth, shift, and get a mate, so they think. What they don't know is that they are wrong.
I will not have an earth style ability. I know this for only one reason. At the age of sixteen, when I actually had free timenot getting punched, kicked, or yelled at, I ran into the woods and shifted for the first time. That night I discovered something.
That I just might be the last ice wolf alive.
