depression

for a second i thought they could see me, then i remembered to smile.

sadness is like being lost in a forest within yourself and you’re constantly running to try and escape, sometimes the only sign of hope is seeing the sun when you first open your eyes in the early morning then you snap back to reality and remember who you are, but who exactly are you? people will tell you to just simply pick yourself up but why should you pick yourself back up when you will just get knocked back down. you contemplate over how the world would turn without you and how nobody would even remember but you’re wrong. the world would rotate the same but some people’s worlds wouldn’t and they would be left with the constant thought of “what should i have done different? where did i miss the signs?”. yes, your pain hurts but your pain is to show you just how strong and amazing you truly are
