Fulcrum
You are a speck,
among billions and billions of specks
strewn carelessly
across the fabric of space and time.
'You are insignificant' , they say,
both men of God and men of Science,
and in the larger scheme of things
I suppose they are right.
But if you ever feel insignificant,
remember,
that a Speck is also
a point of reference, pinning down
an axis of rotation,
around which
the whole Universe and everything in it
moves around.
You, little speck,
infinitesimal being
brief mote of dust, you are
the centre of reality,
the fulcrum
of the entire universe.
