the prologue
THE PROLOGUE:
The date is Wednesday, January 1st, 2020. This story takes place in the Continent of Oceania, in the landmass of Australia. We move into Brisbane, where a science lab for the government was kept. They were working on a project that practically would bring the dead back to life, for loved ones and celebrities to cherish their lives; the project was named ‘Iterum Vivere,’ Latin for ‘To Live Again.’ It was tested on 3 main corpses. As the scientists injected one of the corpses with the serum, it jolted. They contained it quickly, and it sprung to life. With no flaws, the project was labeled as a success. It was to be used and spread around the world for great scientific advancement. Until, that fateful day. Three months later, Patient Zero was released. It went on like a chain of annihilation. Bite to bite, transformation to transformation, The virus was spreading. There had to be something wrong with the virus, but what? Turns out, it was a reaction towards blood types. The virus fusing with blood did reanimate the dead, but being sent to the brain caused hunger for blood and cell problems, making almost like zombies. Even worse, with a blood type A, you’d be turned into a mangled, disgusting creature with only hunger for blood, and no logic and reason. Australia was put on lockdown. Nothing in, nothing out. Everyone, there was presumed dead, and trapped while the rest of the world tried working on a cure. Now, 8% of the population of Australia remains. Terror, fear, the sense of always being watched, in danger. There are many things to overcome now. The apocalypse is a new life. Do or die is the new norm, in a small country flooded with dangers and zombie-like creatures.
