Chapter 1
The way the spume reaches the sand and carries away whatever is in its path, my life had been the same. a moment that snatched away everything that i ever loved and adored, if only i had listened to my brother Peter and walked away with him. now, all i can do is just walk along the beach without leaving my footprints.
5 years ago..... Celina, hurry up mama is waiting! tell mama to wait Peter, i haven't had enough of the ocean and i am going to stay here till my heart says so.Come on Celina, enough already, we wanna eat! but i was too busy enjoying the ocean. Fiji is a beautiful country and more beautiful are the beaches of Savusavu, a small town in the smaller island of Fiji. I loved to come back home , to be with my family and to enjoy the day at the beach. It was always quite at the beach but that day, there was something about the beach. it gave a very negative vibe and i didn't know what it was.
Hi! I was startled at the voice behind me. I turned around to look and saw a very handsome face. Hello! Hi again, my name is Phil and i am new here in Savusavu. Hi Phil, I am Celina and i live here.
Oh wow, you are very lucky to live in such a beautiful place. Thank you Phil. So where are you from? I am from Australia, came here with a few of my friends, we staying at Joe's Guest House. That is nice, my family lives 2 house down that guest house. Mind if i walk with you Celina? Not at all! well it was a good walk and we talked about Fiji and how things had changed over the years. Phil loved everything about Fiji and would love to move here someday.
As we walked further down the beach, i could someone in the water motionless. Phil look, i think someone is unconscious in the water. We both ran to check it out. Phil touched her neck, i think she is dead, she isn't breathing. OMG! OMG! we have to call the police. i quickly dialed the local police number and we waited for about 10 minutes when the police showed up. we both gave our statements on how we found the body.
We hadn't moved the body but waited for the police to do so and as they did, Phil was shocked. i know that girl, we met 2 days ago at Planters Club in town. She said she was here on vacation with her friends from the state. The police took the body and told us not to leave town. I said goodbye to Phil as i headed home, thinking about the poor girl but Phil wasn't thinking about the girl, he was planning something else.
