Preface

Preface

So many of us write letters for different reasons; Letters are memories. There are messages that have stories.

This book is based on true personal events.

There was an eclipse today, reddish, as if the moon was bleeding. I have always seen an eclipse as a story of two lovers who haven’t seen each other in a long time, meeting. The moment is brief, but it makes long lasting history. The eclipse made me think of you, our moment was brief but surely to last a lifetime.

I am figuring out how to forget you

Dear Lynn (2018)

There are so many triggers that make me think of you. It could be an Amanda Seyfield song (Little house), it could be a little white car passing by me, eating a honchoz burger and I love those, it could be the rain or worse it could be seeing a big white full moon; it screams your name.

It’s in the middle of a cold, rainy November day and I am somehow thinking about the last conversation we had. I remember that last real conversation we had, really because we experienced all the emotions we always do when we talk alone at night. It was a full moon; a brightly lit night. On that beauty of the night, it was then that we made a promise to each other that every time there is a full moon we’d call or write each other.

It was after your birthday that we shared this real conversation, Lynn there are so many things I wanted to tell you that day, but I didn’t, I couldn’t. It’s been so many years almost 6 years to be exact. There are so many letters I have written for you since then, but I just never got around to sending them, I mean I didn’t have the guts to send them really. So, I thought I’d collect all these letters. I am not sure where to begin, so I will be jumping up and down timelines, eventually I will get around to here, me deciding to write this letter.

At the end do play Little house, it will always remind me of you

Regards, JC
