"Kill it.
Kill it..
Kill it..."
They chanted over and over again. The miserable beens. Huh.. Like they can kill me. Stupid wrenched scums they are. The whole lot of them. If only.. If only I killed them all. My one hesitation doomed me to this fate. If not for that deceiving dog , I would have bathed in their bloods. Not the other way around. I looked around me. Remembering each and every person who were trying to curse me. The entire village got together behind the En-Arc. The white deity who deceived me. They planned this way before hand and it was too late when I realized what was going to happen. They worshipped me and offered me flowers of faith. Yet here we are in perils of the fire they caused.
"Lawful villagers of Vendamorth, today we are witnessing the doom of Dark Goddess Ansnee who killed hundred of people for her glory and divine power. She abused her Divine status as a goddess and caved into the serpents dark power. I , The En-Arc of this village sentence her to Eternal Cursed Death!"
I cackled maliciously. With my true haunting voice I replied to the stupid En-Arc.
"Do you all think you can escape me.. I will rise again and will rip your souls out from your bodies!!!"
My echoing, blood-curdling voice shook the whole village while they buried me alive in the sacred grave.
Fifty years later....
Third Person POV
🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂
Dark clouds scattered in the sky while a mist overtook the outside of the hospital. In the corner of the hospital room a young man was kneeling before his bedridden father.
"Listen my son.. Take this. Take this and wear this. Never , I mean never take this out from your finger. You are the only person who is left from our family.."
The old man on his death bed gave the ring to his son. It was clear that he was on his last breath as wheezed out the words. The young man on his side took the ring with trembling hands and his tear streaked face faced the old man.
"I can not father, I can not protect it. I don't know how.. You are the only one who knows it.."
The young man was obviously troubled and he tried to contain his sobs.
"No Ikaros. Its time. Remember what I said. Never go near it. Never remove the ring. And keep strangers from entering it. Do not scumb to your dreams. Marry as soon as you can and forget about the drea...m...s..!"
His last breath finished the message for his son and his soul was sucked into the dark. A thunder cracked in the sky marking the start of a doom. Heavy rains stormed through the town while the crackling of lightning and thundering continued.
The young man on his knees, released a heart wrenching wail while clutching his father's hand.
"Sir, excuse me Sir, it is time."
The nurse tapped on his shoulders and the man released his hold on his now dead father. The staff took the dead body while the young man named Ikaros, got up.
"I vow to you dad.. I will do as you say."
While this was happening far away from Vendamorth, a distance evil cackle carried through the air spreading goose bumps in everyone who heard it.
Ikaros POV
🍂🍂🍂🍂
I was numb. I was numb from all the pain I endured during my father's funeral. Everyone, everyone came. Even my father's long lost friends came. But.. But she didn't come even to the funeral. After everything she has done, this is worst thing she did. I cleared all my father's stuff from the hospital today. It was a new beginning and my mind was ready to embark this new journey. Driving to our old house in Vendamorth , I picked up some cleaning products to clean away the weeks worth of dust and debris. Also some much needed groceries. After parking my double cab in the driveway , I took everything inside and went inside. The dark dust covered home greeted me with its un usual silence and I hanged my coat in the hanger and rolled up my shirt. Time for some cleaning.
The cleaning took more hours than I thought. By the time I finished, it was getting dark and my home looked shiny. I packed up the cleaning products , brooms and everything in the store room and threw a chicken with some garden carrots, potatoes and asparagus coated in olive oil in the newly cleaned oven. Forgot to season it so I took it out again to add some salt , pepper and rosemary. The fridge was also cleaned and stocked to the brim with food and beer. After setting the timer I went to upstairs for a bath. On my way to the bathroom,I swiftly removed my dust covered shirt and the denim. After setting the shower for warm , I stepped in and scrubbed away all the dirt from my short hair and muscular body. Working as the sheriff of the town has its perks and I always kept my body healthy. Working out twice a week helped me to keep in shape. With a quick bath , I stepped out from the bathroom and continued my way to the room. Forgetting things was common to me , after loosing my dad and it didn't bother me. After all , I was all alone in this big house and there was no one to see my naked ass walking around. My room was in the corner of the hallway and I dried up myself with a towel and picked a tight boxer brief to wear. Then strolled down to downstairs to check my dinner. Arranging the table , again my memories stabbed me in my heart, when I got reminded of the old times. When she was here with me. When my dad was cooking for the three of us. I silently wept in my heart while arranging the table for one. The steaming aroma of the roast chicken and the veggies filled my nose and after taking a beer from the fridge and lightning up a cigar , I was ready to sit down for a much relaxed dinner. Alone...
