Heart Break
Kay Bates knew leaving her old life was going to be hard. As she looks around the house she shared with her parents. All the memories of her life was bundled up in this old house. Kay wipes the new tears that start flowing down her face. It was either leave or marry George Parst. Alpha Victor had given her the choice after her parents died in the car accident. The thought of marrying him made her stomach turn. He wasnt her mate. She just wanted a fresh start where no one would know her, her family or the pain she holds in her heart.
Where no one will look at her with pity or sadness. Some place she could leave the past in the past. Kay walked across the living room layed her set of keys on the coffee table and walked out the door to her car knowing this was the last time she would see the old Victoria style house where she grew up. All the stuff she kept should be in the new place by now waiting on her to unpack it.
Theo Bain watched as the coffin lowered into the cold dark earth. It seems like yesterday he was holding her and laughing with his sweet Susan. He could still hear her laughing and sweet voice. Still in his head. The rogue wolf that done it will pay. Theo swore to his sweet mate. The what ifs had already been running around in his head. If I hadn't of been in town and left her alone she might be alive now. He could still close his eyes and see it all in front of him.
The smell of blood added with the scent of the rogue wolf and seeing her laying lifeless on the floor would haunt him the rest of his life. As he walked away from the grave he knew he wouldnt rest until he found the one responsible and RIPPED his throat out just like the bastard had done his sweet Susan.
Kay walked into her little house she had bought with the insurance money she got from her parents death. She was now considered a rogue but it was worth it . She could start putting the hurt behind her and start a new life and job. Looking down at her watch she realizes she was going to be late if she didnt leave now to meet her new boss and do the walk around to show her around. As she got in her car her cell ring.
"Hi its kay speaking." She said in the most upbeat voice she could use." Hi kay this is your new boss kathy. I will meet you in the parking lot. Then show you around. "". Ok I will be there in five minutes. See you the. ". Five minutes later she spotted a red head women leaning against the wall with a cigarette in her mouth. As kay got out of the car kathy put out the cigarette and walked toward her. After three hours of kathy showing her around she knew she was going to like this job.
When she started to leave Kathy yell "you want to meet at the night club next door tonight around 7 tonight? You will get to know some of your co workers. "I look down at my watch its 4 now. Yeah I said see you there. As I drive away my nerves hit me. Why did I say yes. Its dangerous enough to be a werewolf with out a pack and add human's to it too. Wow. I am living on the edge I thought to my self.
Theo had driven all night to get to Carton. If his information was correct the bastard rogue was in this town. He had bragged about how he had killed Susan to a guy and how he wished he could of seen my face . Well now he will see my face and feel the pain she went through. Since Susan died my wolf stays quiet I can hear him crying at night missing her smell and touch. Most of all her touch. As I walk around the truck to get my bag out of the the passenger side a sweet smell hits me. Is that Rose's and gardenias I smell? Yes it is but the smell is so faint. My wolf all of a sudden screams Mate!!!! Must find her. No our mate is dead. My wolf starts yelling "SECOND CHANCE MATE! I smell her." I tell him gently" we cant even think of a second mate we have to revenge to take. We dont have time for another mate. " "But I want mate. Mate will heal us." I take a deep breath and tell him " I am sorry but our mate is dead and we dont have the heart to take another one. We could not protect susan what makes you think we are fit for another mate."
With this my wolf just lays down and whimpers. I feel bad but the pain I feel cant be helped only killing the bastard that killed susan matters right now. As I walk into the hotel all I smell is bad whiskey and cigarette smoke smell. I got to meet my informent in a hour at this night club. That is in this hotel. As I enter my room I throw my bag down on the bed and take a deep breath. Knowing that soon I will have my revenge soon. My wolf then ask then can we go find our mate she is in this town and she smells so sweet. "No ."I tell my wolf. "We cant protect our first mate so we wont be getting a second one."my wolf goes silent. I know I am hurting him but that can not be helped. Right now the only think I want is revenge on the rogue wolf. Nothing else matter nothing.
