Chapter 1
Someone just ruined my beautiful morning now I have no choice but to go and see. As I walk down the stairs the noise increases. And guess what...it's my big sister Hope. She is yelling at Lisa. Lisa is our cousin her mother died of cancer and please don't ask what kind of cancer cause I don't know either no one ever told us what kind. Shame poor Lisa since she came here after her mother's funeral last week she's been unhappy, all because of my mom and two sisters Hope and Thuli. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do for her as am the youngest. My sister Hope is 20, Thuli is 18 and I am 15 so Lisa is a year older than me.
"Hey you moron didn't I tell you I want my shirt ironed when I get back? You so useless you should have died with your mother bitch" Hope throws water on Lisa's face then walked away. I just froze there staring at Lisa. I won't lie I am furious inside I wish I could beat the hell out of Hope. Huuuu...let me calm down for Lisa's sake, "oh Lisa cuz am so sorry please don't cry everything will be fine okay...let me help you out before mom comes back" I tried making her feel better, after all I love Lisa she is the most wonderful soul I know.
"You know Pretty nothing in this world breaks me more than your mom's treatment towards me, I can live with both your sisters but I didn't expect such treatment coming from your mom" she then walked away. I understand very well at what she stated,her mother and mine were best friends she should be treating her like an Angel but she does the opposite. Well atleast today there wasn't much drama and Lisa got a chance to write poems as my sisters left and as for me it's hard to go out since it's holidays,how can I go out when my family treats my favourite cousin like a dog.
It's already dark and mother and dad can come any minute now. And it's seems like Lisa forgot it's time to Cook. Oh it's like she read my mind there she comes let me go join her. "Hey Lisa can I stay with you while you cook...I promise I will help you pleassssse" I pleaded I always do that and it works. "Cool cuz no problem as long as your parents don't get to see you've been helping me, you know I will be dead" she even check the door.i don't blame her for being scared of them I too fear them a lot.
"So what is it that you wanna be when you done schooling my sweet Lisa?"
"Well I wanna be a detective I also wish to be detective in America,I can't see myself living the rest of my life here" well I always guessed she wanna be that,she is good at solving problems she won't back off until she gets answers and as for me I can't even lie to her my friends always told me am a good liar,they would call me when they are in trouble but to her it's a different story it's like she's a lying detector. "I knew you would say that,you good at it... please take me with you when you leave to America" she smiled and nodded. She doesn't talk much especially when she's busy all she does is laugh a lot like now. "Mmh I see you laughing yet you not done Ahh?" We both jumped in panic that was my mother, they're back we didn't even hear the door open. Damnit now our happiness disappeared. "Am sorry I didn't mean..." Before Lisa even finish my dear devil mother slap her. "Say what? Is this the time to Cook ahh...19:30? You should be done by now"
"Mom it's my fault that Lisa isn't done you should be..."
"Did I ask you Ahh? Are you her lawyer? Go sit your ass down Pretty".
