Triuwe : Musa's Poem To Riven

You have my triuwe

Though my hearts you have torn into tattered rags.

Though I hurt as if filled with hell-fire

Yet you I can never hate.

I am a stone tree

So strongly rooted

Not raging weather,

Nor withering flames,

Nor sharp axes,

Nor the sun's shafts,

Nor any malice

From the mare-den or from men

Will cleave me from you

Will quell my care.

I watch over you

With my world-eyes

I wrap you

With leafy wings

I stand your sentinel

Staunch and sturdy

- From this wyrde

I will have no rest -

On a watch ever silent, ever loving,

By the strands of the shimmering life-streams.
