Finally its done, the effort, the struggle that I could put up have been poured. Everything that I could do, I did my best. Now except for waiting for the result , I have nothing in my hands.

Honestly I myself was surprised by how determined I was, working my ass off for past 3 years to maintain my physical & mental fitness, perfect eyesight and an exemplary body shape. Not to mention but those countless nights that I’ve stayed awake to clear my interviews and aptitude tests.

All I ran was towards one goal, one dream. Ever since my childhood bestfriend enlightened me about this diligent profession, my heart just sat stuck with it. It made me endlessly chase for it all these years. Now I’m just one step away from it, just one last step, but the bitter truth is that, this last move its not in my control. All I can do is hope for the best.

At last graduating from high school with impressive scores, I no longer have to sacrifice my sleep or wake up early.

Or maybe I just thought so..

“Y/N wake up sweetheart, we need to go and order a large load of various flowers and plants for an upcoming event.” the pre-eminent event organizer in the city, requested as she walked into my room and sat next to the sleeping me.

“Mom, I have no plans on waking up before 10, please don’t disturb me.” I roll to the other end of the bed to avoid the slapping bright morning rays.

“I understand, but its an emergency, rest of the workmen and the mangers have gotten busy due to the high budget event that we are handling right now, so that leaves it with me to do this petty job. And yeah you got your driver’s license recently, make use of it dear.”

Now that’s how you trigger your daughter.

“Okay fine! gimme 20 mins.” I groan as I fling the duvet off of me, slipping into my slippers, I tramp towards the bathroom as I tie my hair up into a bun.

....

“Which way now!?” I bawl as my mom is stuck with the directions in the middle of the road.

“Umm... yeah, take left and go straight for about umm... about a kilometer.” she coolly panics as she fiddles with her mobile for directions.

The only thing that annoys me on road is people honking horns at me. That’s the reason I try to be perfect with my driving standards.

After 3 longs hours of stroll around the vast nursery that’s situated in the outskirts of the city, we finally received the flowers that we’ve ordered.

What I see infront of me has just completely trampled my expectations to dirt, because all I’ve expected was a few bunches of flowered stems to be loaded in the trunk of our car, but here are 2 huge truck loads of both flowering and non-flowering potted plants and also flower stems packed with extra care to prevent withering.

“Mom, is the event by any chance about starting a new nursery in the midst of the city?” I still stared at the monster sized trucks infront of me.

She giggled “No dear, these are just for a grand Wedding event that’s to commence in 2 days.”

*sigh* Maybe I underestimated this division of our family business which is under my mom’s supervision.

....

Finally the trucks left to the event venue, and I collapsed flat on my bed, all I need at the moment is a nice nap.

But it just remains as a wish.

“OMG! Y/N Y/N Y/N! Baby! My lovely daughter!” she yelled right from down the stairs.

“Arrghh what is it now?” I ruffled my hair out of frustration.

She barged into my room, her face bore some weight of overwhelming happiness and she hid one of her hand behind her.

“You... you...” she couldn’t roll her words out.

“I what?”

“You got selected...” she breathed.

I gasped. Pulling out a letter from her behind, she brought it infront of me, immediately I snatched it from her to read it by myself.

My eyes eagerly searched for the words I’ve been waiting to see, and right at the start of the letter I found my dream coming true.

Now that I’ve successfully managed to secure my admission into one of the best Aviation Universities in the country, finally my dream is turning into a reality. Finally my perseverance bore its sweet fruit.

“MOM! I GOT IT!” I screamed out of joy and jumped up in my bed and bent over to tightly engulf my news breaker.

While I was immersed in my happiness, my phone rang and I darted towards it to blowup the mind of whoever it was and gratefully its my dearest best friend.

“LISA!!” I yelled.

“Y/N!!” she copied me.

“You know what I-” I exclaimed.

“Got selected into Sky High!” we yelled in unison.

“See, I told you didn’t I? That you’ll never be able to get rid of me. Now lets grow old together.” her voice relaxed and so did mine, I can’t damage my larynx any longer.

I chuckled.

“Gurl! doll up, we need to celebrate! I’ll be coming to pick you up in 20.” and saying so my hurry sick friend cut the call.

Informing my mom about this, I slipped on black ripped jeans and contrasting white bat wing top, and dusted on some light makeup.

“Just as expected” she scoffed leaning on the door frame of my room, wearing a lacy maroon knee-lenth dress that wrapped tightly around her body. She looked beautiful... more like Sexy.

“You don’t know how boring you turn out at times.” she marched to my closet, swiped and tossed a few casuals out of her way and finally her eyes glistened when she found a Pitch black glimmery off-shouldered bodycon cocktail dress which I’m sure would reach only till my mid thighs.

“Wear this!” she beamed.

“Nah That’s too uncomfortable.” I fell back onto my bed.

“This is the need of the hour, so shut up and wear” she threw it onto my face.

“But-"

“Say one more ‘but’ and I’ll smack your butt. Now make it quick.” she pitilessly pushed me into the washroom.

As expected it hugged tight to my body, showing off my curves and the black sequin material contrasting with my complexion, it looked like a splendid match. It reached till my mid-thighs and being an off-shoulder piece, it exposed my collar bone, summing on the additional attraction.

“Awesome! Now let me do the finishing.” Her eyes brightened from the moment they laid on me.

She applied a layer of makeup to meet her level of satisfaction, giving me smokey eyes and bold crimson lip colour and gentle compact touch up. I guess she was convinced by how my hair looked, so she didn’t bother it much.

If she wants it, she gets it. I don’t know what’s going on in her mind, but now I’m in her car and we are headed to I have no idea where.
