Prologue
In the far reaches of the galaxy, a dark presence wanders the cosmos enslaving planets to its whim and destroying those that fight back. The mere mention of its name spread fear across every globe in its way and brought them to their knees. This dark presence, this enslaver of worlds, was the Draconid Empire, the most feared empire in the entire galaxy. The empire's army was massive, and their ships so numerous no one could match the empire's will. Its lieutenants are some of the most feared dragons in existence. Names such as Fafnir, Wyvern, and Ryujin spread fear all across the stars.
Yet the most dangerous one of all was the Jafar. He was a very notorious man with a fist of iron, the heart of stone, and intellect with no rival. He was a mirror image of their father, the Great Jawzahr, the father of all dragons. As second under his father's empire, he immensely enjoys deciding the fate of the enslaved planets. Whenever he comes down to visit, the inhabitants describe him in two ways. His mortal form was a tall, muscular man with short black hair with a bronze streak.
His eyes were hardened, emotionless red eyes with battles scars all across his face. He wore a black suit of thick plates with two mighty leather wings tucked behind his back. In his pure form, the inhabitants describe as monstrous dragons with an aggressive temper.
Like most generals, he was always found on the bridge, looking at the vast emptiness of space, still waiting for a new planet to conquer for his father. Almost instantly, one of the ship's scanners makes an alert and projects a nearby world ripe with luna Lapides. Smiling wickedly, he orders a technician to a radio call his father from their home planet. A screen pops up from the center of the room, and within minutes, two glowing red eyes emerge.
"Status report Jafar," came a booming voice from the screen. His son bows and reports his findings.
"My lord, I have discovered a new planet ripe with stones. The scanners say they are buried somewhere along the southern hemisphere of the planet. Fret not; we will have them soon enough."
The eldest prince bows once more, knowing he was pleased with the news. From the monitor, a laugh echoes throughout the room. "You honor me immensely," said the dragon king.
"Proceed as planned, my son." The screen ends transmission and slides back into place. Jafar then calls one of his officers to the bridge and asks him to prepare the leading forces for an invasion.
"General, according to my calculations, we are still more than a week away from arrival, but I will have the forces ready on your order."
"Good. Very good. One more planet for the empire," smirked Zhan. He enjoys invading new planets. It helps keep his place in the hierarchy back on Thuban with his siblings.
"What is this planet called anyway?" The officer looked down at his chart and flipped through several pages until he spoke the name Nyron to the general. The name seemed to be intriguing to the general as he began to say it over and over.
"Nyron, Nyron."
