Chapter 1
Lexi:
I opened my eyes to a thin finger of sunshine pushing its way through my curtains. I groaned and rolled over, burying my face in my pillow. My mom came in and marched to the window pulled back the curtains making me wince.
"You've got half an hour to get ready, and you know as well as I do how long it take you to even get our of bed let alone sort yourself out ready for school"
"Mom!"
"Yes Lexi"
"Mom it was rhetorical, that's the cie for you to walk out"
I groaned out as I sat up and rubbed my eyes.
My mom walked out the room and I fell back onto my bed. I lay there for a while before I realised that I did actually have to socialise and go to school today, I pulled myself out of bed and to the bathroom to have a quick shower.
After a had a shower a hopped out feeling much more awake and grabbed my clothes for the day and pulled them on then headed down for breakfast. As I entered the kitchen my little devil of a sister stole the last waffle while making eye contact with me, I rolled my eyes I was too tired to deal with her. My dad was sitting at the head of the table scrolling through his emails and my mom was cooking pancakes at the stove.
I sat down on a stool by the counter and pulled out my phone to send streaks on Snapchat.
My best friend Carlson had texted me and had asked if I wanted to meet up with him to go to school together. I snapped him back quickly answering him yes and if he wanted to walk or take a bus then put my phone away and say down to eat.
After I had finished eating I grabbed my bag and phone and hurried out of the house, it was a five minute walk the the bus stop where I would meet Carl but I just put in my earphones and time went by quickly.
I met with Carl at the bus stop and we waited for our bus.
After arriving at school Carl's girlfriend another one of my best friends Amy made her appearance and hugged me tightly telling me she had news.
"There's a new maths teacher, he young as well and a hottie"
"And?"
"Lexi I know you hate maths and skip it most the time but for my sake come with me to the maths lesson today..... please"
"Fine, it's not going to change my bad grade though whether he's hot or not"
"You know what would change your grades, actually turning up for class"
"Yes but that requires effort"
Amy sighed but still laughed.
"You hate anything that involves putting effort in unless it's music don't you"
"Yeah pretty much" I replied.
It was maths second so after my extremely long and boring physics lesson Amy pulled me to maths and as we nears the classroom I felt a pull. When we entered the was a young dark haired man standing in front of the board, he had dark eyes and tanned skin and his shirt wasn't doing a very good job at hiding what was beneath it.
He was hot that was for sure.
Nico:
It was my first day in the human school , acting as a maths teacher in the hopes that my fated would be somewhere here for me to find. It was my second lesson and new students were filing in, one of the last ones was a pale girl with ash blonde hair and blue-grey eyes, her body was tiny but still feminine.
It was her, she was my fated, I could feel her eyes on me.
I knew she felt the pull as I did.
But I also knew that she did not know the reason.
