Epilogue
A young dragon with midnight black scales was running towards the forest, as though her will to live depended on it. But she did not look scared, or startled. Just in need to be somewhere.
She was small, but you could see her muscles underneath the skin. When she opened her wings, the small silver scales shone with endless cascades of color.
But she had no time to show off; her sweetheart was waiting. The thought of him spurred her on; his emerald green eyes, and the way his tail curled around her.
Yes, she could not wait any longer; their meetings were short, only every full moon. Suddenly, she bumped into the air! ”Who is it?” She said, as calmly as she could. Then, a dragon materialized before her.
His scales were black now, but shifted to pink when he saw her. ”Fatesearcher! I knew you were coming.” He said, circling her happily. She twined her tail around his, smiling. ”I'm sorry I'm late. Prophoseer stopped me to ask how I was doing, then started lecturing me about coconuts.”
The pink dragon laughed. ”Prophoseer? Who would name their dragonet that?” He questioned, nudging Fatesearcher with his wing. ”Oh, Handsome! You know you are the love of my life, right?” She said, sighing contentedly. They lay down, gazing at the stars together. Slowly, they drifted off to sleep.
