The moon

Miles POV

“Miles wake up” I groan when I hear my dads voice from down stairs. I am not a morning person at all. I get up out of bed and throw on a hoodie. Walking downstairs I smell the most amazing smell ever, I run down the stairs as fast as I can full speed at the dining room.

“Morning honey how’d you sleep?” My mom asked

“Fine I guess” I answered in a tired voice

I was eyeing the pancakes and finally mom decided to let me have some, but not after teasing me about it.

“Bye I’m going to school” I said

“Bye see you when you get home” my parents both said together

I started my short walk to school and as soon as I got into my first class the bell went off and I was learning about math.

“Ringggg”

The last bell went off and I started my walk home.

I turned down my street and saw flashing lights there were cop cars in my neighborhood, more specifically in front of my house. My palms began to sweat and the blood rushed to my face, I didn’t do anything wrong, right?

I walked up to my front porch and asked the nearest cop why he was out my house and if my family did anything wrong. He lead me into my house and told me to have a seat.

“Where are my parents?” I asked the cops even though I had a bad feeling I allready knew the answer.

“There’s no easy way to tell you this, so I’m just going to say it straight out. Your parents were attacked by an animal, and didn’t make it”

No, no, no he must have the wrong house this can not be happening. It must all be a dream. But deep down I know it is real and that it will hount me forever...
